9/11 anniversary TV

Again in the UK, "102 minutes that changed America" is starting on Channel 4 in a couple of minutes. Lots of amateur footage that I don't think has appeared on UK TV before (although it was aired in the US last year), & so should be worth a look.

I'm watching this as I sit at the dining table writing up a report, and it (the tv programme) is bloody well sobering. Those who spout claptrap about no planes, explosives, and the like would be well advised to watch it.

It's all MSM claptrap in their little closed-minded worlds.

Indeed. Well, except when conspiracy fantasists point to mainstream media in support of their delusion de jour, of course. Then, the MSM is 100% accurate and infallible, and anyone who doubts it is a disinformation-spreading sheeple.
Conspiracy fantasists are bizarre that way. If cognitive dissonance did not already exist, we would have had to invent it for them.

CBC - Sept 11th, 8-10PM "Diverted" (A doc about how on 9/11 many planes were diverted to Newfoundland Canada)

Correction: it's not a documentary, it's a "based on a true story" television movie. Here's the description of the program from the CBC web site:

A fictional story inspired by what happened to the people of Gander, Newfoundland and the passengers on the planes on Sept. 11, 2001, when the Federal Aviation Authority shut down the skies over the United States. Suddenly, more than 200 aircraft flying over the Atlantic at the time had to find a new place to land. Thirty-nine of those flights made their way to Gander, Newfoundland, and on that day 6,500 people descended on a town of 9,000.

As to the Gallileo show, Gallileo is an Infotainment program on trash channel Pro7, and, as I was recently told, belongs to the (few) German mass media programs/representatives promoting 9/11 CTs.

Sorry, I was totally misinformed. Actually, the Gallileo show was a hit piece on 9/11 CTs. They used lots of material from other shows, e.g. from the 2006 Zembla show in their section on the Pentagon. But some of the interviews were genuine (at least I didn’t see them before), e.g. interviews with brave firefighter Piciotto, Major Daniel Nash from Otis AFB (which was kinda … touching) and John Gross from NIST. Good stuff.
However, the show was unfair in the WTC section. They took Jowenko to debunk the claim that WTC towers 1 & 2 were brought down by CD, but excluded his comments on WTC 7. They didn’t mention WTC 7 at all. Their apologists for CD of WTC 1 & 2 were theologian Griffin and LC jackanapes Avery/Bermas, no mention of Steven Jones or AE911Truth etc.

And to extend the german language "crap" TV list:

-Thursday, 11th September, 22:50 VOX: "9/11 Mysteries" (Yeah that one)

-Sunday, 6th September, 22:50 ORF (the austrian public, partly state funded TV station): "Zero - An Investigation into 9/11"

The impact of these pieces was visible at German Gulli board (which has a 200+ page thread on 9/11 CTs). A handful of new members starting to tell the other members "Morons, you don´t know anything about statics, look at Windsor Tower and compare to WTC 7" etc.
Well, everyone starts somewhere ...

The Discovery Channel just had Mythbusters reruns and other normal shows. I find that healthy.
