768,000 Civil & Structural Engineers on WTC Collapse & NIST

Only a handful of architects and engineers question the NIST Report, but they have never come up with an alternative. Although at first blush it may seem impressive that these people don't believe the NIST Report, remember that there are:

123,000 members of ASCE(American Society of Civil Engineers) who do not question the NIST Report.

There are also 80,000 members of AIA(American Institute of Architects) who do not question the NIST Report.

Although their field of expertise is not related to the construction of buildings - they don't seem to have a problem with that over at AE911truth:

There are also 120,000 members of ASME(American Society of Mechanical Engineers) who do not question the NIST report.

There are also 370,000 members of IEEE(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) who do not question the NIST report.

There are also 40,000 members of AICHE(American Institute of Chemical Engineers) who do not question the NIST Report.

There are also 35,000 members of AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics) who do not question the NIST report.

Any questions? Any evidence from the Truthers to prove NIST wrong?

The architects & engineers in Gage's group represent around 0.1% of the associated professional societies. Think they can boost that to 1% before we're all dead? :D

So the world isn't going to end like this?:

Damn! That would suck standing on the moon just to watch the fireworks At Worlds End ;)

0.1% only if you count in his landscape engineers and software engineers, but disregard those professions when determining the total number of professions - i.e. that you count them as structural engineers or architects.
If you factor it propertly, the ratio is 0.05% or less :)

Can I just point out that the list includes only the US learned professional institutes? Don't forget that there are even more of us in other countries.

Yes I do realize that, but I haven't found a list of those SE & A's, yet, to put up.

I know there's more Structural Engineers & Architects around the world that doesn't deny the evidence nor NIST.

I'm surprised we haven't heard the common truther response to threads like this:

"well, yea, but how do we KNOW all those experts support the official story? Have they come out and said so?"

Come on truthers. You're slacking off.

I can only find nine "Software Engineers" on the list of degreed and/or degreed/licensed engineers, and all nine of them hold an Engineering degree of some sort (e.g., CS, CE, EE, etc).

Again, please provide some sort of evidence for your claim.

and like with the NYCCANT you get given expert opinions and choose to ignore them.

This is the same group (AEtruth) who took george jetson, fred flintstone and barney rubble as "degreed and/or degreed/licensed architects and engineers."

The number of degreed and licensed architects and engineers on their "rolls" is less than 1/4 of the total list.

AND there are examples of people on the list who have asked to be removed. (and before you ask, I do not have the citation for it).

Check their credentials. Before the AIA conference someone else did... and found that only 1/2 of the folks were degreed OR licensed... the rest were office workers, or still in school. Aetruth.info

Na... I read the citation and the statement. I just don't feel the need to book mark every single one...

don't worry, someone else will come along with it.. and you can ignore it and dodge around it then too...

ETA: of course there is this gem from may 2009
http://www.ae911truth.info/tiki-view_blog.php?blogId=1

where someone created a database and then ran through it to find out who of the 640 (at that time) "members" who were degreed or licensed were REALLY degreed or licensed.

A friend of this site recently went through their list of signees and discovered this total included architect and engineering students or other people that worked in the offices. When he eliminated everyone but those with licenses and/or degrees, he found the truth - 284 names. And this was being very generous with the degrees! Several landscape engineers are in this list. There are many electrical engineers and others whose specialty has nothing at all to do with structural engineering.

But hey... simple things like COUNTING the members and determing if people who signed the petition are legit... go figure.

deep... for a movement so concerned with the TRUTH, why do they lie so much?

Wrong again. They found that only 1/2 of the folks were degreed AND licensed ("and/or" was apparently a typo on the linked page).

Not sure what was "researched", considering that distinction is included on the list itself - "degreed engineers" and "degreed/licensed engineers".

Yet they count them as the same thing... and they misrepresent them..

we have blah blah blah degreed and licensed architects and engineers. Why do they misrepresent their petitions signers? For a group who wants the TRUTH they seem to LIE a lot.:jaw-dropp

Of course I love how their petition has morphed (kinda like that NYCCANT petition was trying to morph) now it says

architectural and engineering professionals
(so draftsmen, technicians and even office staff (after all they are architectural and engineering professioanls.. they work in a professional office) can now be counted...)

so now they have shift shift shifted away from degreed or licensed/ to degreed and licensed...

why is that?

ETA: Ummm no. You are wrong. Go back and read it. When they removed everyone who was not degreed or/and licnesed it was 284 names. When they claimed 650. oopsie.

here is the quote
When he eliminated everyone but those with licenses and/or degrees, he found the truth - 284 names. And this was being very generous with the degrees!

No, it's not me or anyone else to provide evidence, it's YOU who needs to provide it!

YOU made a claim that YOU can only find 9 software engineers, it's YOUR job to name their names.

Now prove it to us Deep! Or you'll find yourself in a DEEP hole!

Of course since you want to argue numbers...
currently (if EVERY ONE listed as licensed and degreed (and I have doubts of about 1/4 of those, and some serious doubts about all of the RETIRED engineers on the list))
169 liscensed and degreed architects
and
191 licensed and degreed engineers. (with almost half of them being electrical or software engineers who are talking WAY OUTSIDE OF THEIR FIELDS)

so we have 350 out of the nearly 1000 (who they claim)
So do you really want to compare the numbers? REally? 350 licensed and degreed vs over 700,000? Really?
