I don't know what it was at the time, but I see Piscivore's post count is now 8,780. Don't we give partial credit for getting two of the numbers right? Kreskin would have.

Hmmm, wonder what ever happened to Kreskin.

No, your post count was 8257, minus mine, which at the time was 1039 and you get 7218. 7+2=9 and 1+9=9. 9+9=18. 1+8=9. That's 3 9's. 9/3=3. At the time I had only posted in this thread 2 times. So take the number of 9s, the times I posted, and the result of 9/3 and you get 323. Isn't this a hit?

You know, it would be interesting to see how skeptics do when gambling as compared to believers. I mean, with all that negative skeptical energy, the skeptics would be cancelling out all their luck, right?

I, for one, have never won a bet in my life. I've considered starting a business in which I bet against people's teams so they win. I mean if Manchester United played the Indianapolis Colts in American Football and I bet on the Colts, MU would beat the blue hell out of Indy.:(

1+9=9? I could never get the hang of this new math stuff. ;)

This might come as a surprize to everyone, I don't have psychic powers I made it up. Although I will buy three lottery tickets tomorrow, for fun.

I hate the lottery.

What he meant was this:

7218: 7+2=9 and 1+8=9 and 7+2+1+8=18 or 1+8=9

So there are the three nines, then the rest is the same.

I predict the next poster will be at post count 401 (meaning that whatever number comes up, we can play with it enough to generate 401).

Kudos for coming back to admit this. I would recommend saving the money for the PS3 rather than buying the lottery tickets though. :)

JoeTheJuggler: Go ahead and play with this post count. It will probably change by the time you do.

Then why would you play it for "fun"?

Do you also stand around in Tokyo train stations for the solitude?
I haven't been to Tokyo so I don't know what you're talking about. Why would I be playing the game solitude in Tokyo don't they have it or something.

Clever! You tricked us!

Oh no wait a minute--except you didn't because most of us thought it was just a bad joke early on.

Hokulele: at the time of your post the count was 2741. This is easy, you have 27 which is a perfect cube (3 cubed) and 41 which is not only a prime but also the last two digits of the year of Bob Dylan's birth. Obviously a number of great mystical significance.

A couple of ways we can get 401:

First way: 27 is also 2+7=9, and in 9 modulo math we simply cast out the nine, or count it as a zero. We then place that zero between the two remaining digits, and there we have 401.

Second way: with the Dylan indicator, we use the numerals in "Rainy Day Women Nos. 12 and 35". Put zeroes on those numbers and we have 120 and 350. 120+350=470. 2741 is 2+7+4+1=14 since today is 1 day past the summer solstice, we subtract 1 from 14 to get 13. Since 3 cubed is in there, 3 is obviously significant, so 13 x 3=69. Finally 470-69=401.

There is that new math again, darn it.

Must. Not. Laugh.

*Waiting for Pisci's response*

D'oh! What I meant to say was 13 x 3=39 plus the 30 days of this month=69.

Yeah, that's the ticket. . . .

Tokyo is such a desolate ghost town that the trains run infrequently, so one must often find ways to pass the time or be faced with the horrifying subterranean quiet. Most of the popular variants of the game we are aware of in this country originated there.

The game's development is eerily similar to how the Polynesians invented the coal stove.

Yes, the 1+9 was a typo. And yes, my point is that you can fool around with anything to get any number.

Doesn't Uri Geller already have that job?
