According to Republicans Trumpers*, Biden is simultaneously senile and an evil genius out to destroy American.

*In 2015, Lindsey Graham said that if Trump won the nomination the Republican Party would be destroyed. He was correct.

No critic of Biden has ever said that second part. It's just something his defenders made up to pretend The Enemy has a self-contradiction that just isn't there.

Be careful what you wish for when judging a man for appropriately paying a blackmail demand.

Trump is a terrible person, but Biden is far worse, some would suggest.

Some will even scream that, for that matter. Just like they scream that up is down when it suits their purposes. Just like with Hitler, certain groups of people think that they can use him to gain some advantage. Just like with Hitler, their beliefs are not unfounded, but the consequences of the methods used are abominable.

You are promoting DEI when it shows that doctors and airline pilots should never be held to low standards.

"Open borders" pretty much comes down to an oft repeated Republican lie. A rather insanely dishonest and easily seen through lie, for that matter.

What Democrats push is not and has never been "open borders," no matter how many times the Republicans who happen to be working to drum up business for human traffickers try to say so. Trump and the Republicans want two main things out of the issue. They want the issue to arose an emotional response that they can use to their advantage and they want to keep large amounts of labor cheap and suppressed so they can exploit it better. What Democrats want, to speak generally, is for a secure border that is handled in the way that most benefits the nation, rather than specific interest groups, while respecting human rights.

Republicans want the problems. Trump recently worked to sabotage any Congressional action on the topic, even when Republicans were being given everything that they claimed they wanted, specifically because he believed that sabotaging such would benefit him politically. Through his Presidency, Trump acted to make things worse in the usual way - push something showy and very impractical while ignoring and sabotaging things where they matter. Human traffickers had plenty of reason to love Trump. Yet, you would try to pretend that Trump would act differently than he has done throughout? Democrats don't want the problems, so they try to handle things competently and well, even when hamstrung by Republicans.

In short, it's an empty CT level buzzword turned into a rallying cry to fight against reality, often in measurably harmful ways.

The adoption of DEI training and standards does not even so much as imply that doctors and airline pilots are being held to lower standards. DEI training being added for doctors, in particular, is part of long-standing efforts to raise the quality of care, especially for those who currently and have historically received worse care.

In both cases, the evidence that standards have actually been lowered sure looks like it's pretty much non-existent, contrary to the politically motivated hype being pushed by those who seem to WANT to keep some groups receiving worse care. A prospect that is, unfortunately, highly likely to be true, given the long history of similar actions to suppress and harm said groups by the groups fighting against DEI.

At Ladbrokes it's approx. 60-40, or 1.5x

Those same bookmakers have Michelle Obama at 20/1.

I think that demonstrates both that bookies set the odds based on bets placed and that punters aren't that smart.

Nobody's arguing with that, I'm just pointing out (again) that Samson doesn't know how to convert bookies' odds to %ages or similar.
 
The word "normalized" came up above. Hof far will it go?
-Of course we will van birth control.
-Of course we will take women's vote away.
- Of course we will ban gay marriage.
- Of course we will make sex changes illegal.
- Of course we will ban premarital sex.
Etc.

:confused: Google tells me that Gilbert Syndome is a liver complaint, where it's unable to process bilirubin properly. I'm mystified. Can't find any connection to betting.
