Mate, you're far closer to the action than me and I have the utmost respect for your opinion.
If you're sure Joe's ok, I'll buy it.
I am going to watch his presser today, which I note has been delayed an hour.
Will this be the most-watched presidential presser since 9/11?
Things are happening on stage, and one poor bastard has been nominated to stand up front and look at the cameras.
Does not appear to be enjoying the task.
"Joe Biden accidentally introduced Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskiy as “President Putin” in a gaffe that will fuel further concerns about his mental acuity that have threatened to scuttle his presidential campaign."
linky
ffs
Both here in Norway and, as far as I can tell, in the States, there's been neverending coverage of only Biden's (allegedly) declining faculties. Nothing or next to nothing on the state of Dump, or the Chevron deference decision, or the president gaining immunity, or Project 2025. The coverage of Biden's health in itself has been shockingly sensationalized and biased against him.I don’t really understand your point here. My understanding is that there have been very long-running commentaries and narratives about Donald Trump being in court on multiple counts, had his mugshot taken, and broadcast, become a convicted felon etc….
All of this is true and worth reporting because Trump wants to be president of the United States.
As well as this, Biden is showing signs of becoming incapacitated by age or, possibly, “cognitive decline”.
Is this something the media should cover? Of course! It absolutely should. There is no point complaining about it or saying that it has no effect on voter intent. The story itself is important.
What it seems like, to me, assuming your post is not satire (and I apologize for not understanding the subtlety if it is), is that you think it is the media’s job to report in a partisan way. That Trump calling Chris Christie a fat pig, needs to be the news story, and Biden being extremely debilitated by age, to be passed over in silence, if the voters are okay with it.
Of course, it might be different where you are. Maybe the coverage is wall-to-wall and therefore no longer worth banging on about, but I am surprised to read people saying that the reason we are talking about this is because of some media concoction. People around the world have been able to watch these live videos of him.
Anyway, let’s see how he is in the press conference without commentary.
Undoubtedly.
How are you watching? I'm still getting the "We will begin shortly" banner, and Google tells me it has been delayed.
AP.
They've given that guy a break and are now showing a totally pissed-off crowd of reporters with numb arses as they play some thoroughly military music.
Just started. Not looking too good so far, but nothing too terrible.
Your bias is showing.
So far, Biden has been superb and clearly unscripted.
I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president if she couldn't beat Trump.
If you think this qualifies as "superb" by any stretch, I think the bias is with you.
ETA: "Vice President Trump"? Uh-oh.
So far, he's made only slight stumbles that anyone can make when they're talking fast, and recovered immediately.
He's still having trouble with names.
