I watched the Harris Walz interview from yesterday. I didn't care for the questioner. I felt like she was just rephrasing Trump's stupid talking points. And over all it was a boring interview. I liked the way she addressed most of the questions.

No - there is nowhere in the USA that involuntary euthanasia is allowed.

Of course not. It's not "you are allowed to kill the baby after it's born"

The correct description is, "You are allowed to let a baby who is going to die die with dignity"

To borrow from veterinarians, "You didn't decide to kill your baby. The disease made that decision long ago, and we've done everything we can to prevent it."

Vets also add, "Better a week early than a day late" but that doesn't apply in this case.

Palliative care is real, and it's important.

You can actually and to the best of my knowledge you have always been able to.

Sure you can.

Ah, thanks for the corrections.

Most people don't get there on a tour bus, they take the Metro, which comes out pretty close by.

The best way to get there. I was speaking of the tram tours that are described in the link acbytesla posted. I wonder if there was something special happening when I was there last (almost 15 years ago now), and I just opted for the tram tour.

No but "post-both abortion" is one of the myths that simply will not die with abortion opponents.

FTFY. The same with "Democrats love abortion" and the like, of course, for much the same reasons.

I remember such popping up in a conversation with an aunt, either way, and demonstrating how false and unreasonable the post-birth abortion thing was. To be clear, she learned. The problem was more that she fell for such BS in the first place.

I confess that I love the Tampon Tim nickname.

Trump thinks it's a slur, when it's actually reminder to every woman in America that MAGA are misogynist *****, while the Dems actually respect women's rights and issues.

Please keep using it!

There is an assumption that information is the critical factor that leads to a voter's decision.

From all what we know from psychology, this is rarely true, and never when it comes to emotionally charged decisions.

If you ask a voter to inform themselves, 9 times out of 10 they will seek and ignore information as to validate their gut decision.

The bastard now claims that he was the victim of a setup at Arlington. You have to watch this.

Agreed; pathetic. He tries unsuccessfully to pivot to, "We're winning the internet," but then waffles between something about his campaign people who he doesn't control, and the incredible claim that no one told him the rules, or maybe it was the families who roped him into it. Then he finally settles into claiming the Biden Administration set him up.

Not surprisingly, our governor Spencer Cox tried a similar evasion. Cox had even put a contribution link in his email. Not only was he using his appearance with Donald Trump for political campaigning, he was soliciting donations with it. Cox tried to walk it back by saying he didn't intend for it to be a campaign event and that his campaign staff (unnamed) had done all that without his approval—not even really an apology, just a half-assed explanation. Then yesterday he announced a statewide day of prayer and fasting for Sunday to heal the nation.

He never apologizes. He never owns his behavior. And somehow people think this makes him "strong." Every attempt to hold him accountable is "election interference" or the "Deep State" or some other stupid "dog ate my homework" conspiracy.

Yeah, then somehow the lack of wind for wind turbines is depriving us of bacon. Seriously, this is when you start thinking of putting grandpa in a home (and not the White House).

Sure you can.

Recent security is such that you have to enter through the proper gates, but that's it. Once you get it in, you can wander all over. I've done it many times. You can stop at JFK's grave, or go to TUS. Once when I was there I moseyed over to Lincoln's son (Robert Todd Lincoln, maybe?). It's a little out of the way.

It's best to stay on the paths, but yeah, you can explore and wander. Most people don't get there on a tour bus, they take the Metro, which comes out pretty close by.

As others have said, there may be restrictions on days when there is a formal event, like a funeral or something else, but normally, nah.

That was my experience, too. We wandered all over the place. I especially wanted to see the grave of Audie Murphy, WW2's, and maybe US military's, most highly decorated combat soldier.
