No one said she doesn't know. Until Biden withdrew from the race it was his campaign.
As for policy, the Democratic Party Platform is 90+ pages, in what some would say is too much detail.

Breaking news!
Trump is slowly building a coalition out of disaffected, and potentially defective, Democrats.
How many more does he need to turn the tide?
Not only that, but it's possible too that Harris is not absolutely sure of exactly what she'll do exactly how and when. Maybe in the conservative mind, which uses the minutiae of exactitude to squeeze out of embarrasing statements - if you didn't say the exact words out loud nothing was said - also figures the lack of a precise and minute agenda that ignores the uncertainties of the future is equally no policy at all.You can bet that if Vice President Harris had quickly presented a plan unique to her, the exact same people would be screaming "See!! She was prepared. That proves it was an elaborately plotted coup. Invalid candidate!! Kick her off the ballot!! Challenge the results!!"
Yeah, what Vice President, period, much less one of an octogenarian with dementia would have no ideas about what they would do if they became the next president? Answer: one who really has no ideas about what they would do.
Not so much that most people are greedy and selfish but that in a situation with no minimum standards the minority who are will drive off the majority who aren't.

Harris's opponents (yes, an actual "s" after the apostrophe for a singular noun that ends in "s") are consistent in saying everything she does is wrong unless it's the same as what they say, in which case it's stolen. Whatever she might have done differently would garner the same response.
For names that end in an s or z sound, though, you can either add -'s or just an apostrophe. Going with -'s is the more common choice:
the car that belongs to Jones → Jones's car or Jones' car
Well, bless your heart if you think the majority of people aren't greedy, selfish bastards if given free rein.
He does tend to attract the nut cases. Birds of a feather and all. Trump's welcome to them.
Irony is there is no better proof of this then the way that the Communist Party leadership has behaved every time they took power. They created a new priviliged class of Party leaders who lived a life of luxury while the average worker suffered in the "Worker;s Paradise".
Orwell, of course picked up on this in both "Animal House" and '1984".
Lex Luthor said it well in the first of the reeves superman movies;
"People are no damn good.:
That is a major problem with a pure Socialist System: for "From Each According To His Ablity, To Each According TO His Needs" is not a good fit for human beings.
I'm pretty sure you meant "Animal Farm", which is a very different story than "Animal House".
The Arlington Cemetary fuss will not die down.
Arlington is supposed to be one place above Partisan Politics, and the people running it are very keen to keep it that way. Trump was clearly trying to exploit it for his political gain.

We have a local twist on the story. Our governor Spencer Cox, who is up for re-election, participated in the event at Arlington National Cemetery and was photographed conversing with Donald Trump and posing with the family of a service person buried in Section 60. Cox's campaign later sent out a photo of Gov. Cox and Trump at the cemetery along with a fundraising link—a clear violation of federal regulation 32 C.F.R. (2024) § 553.32 and the rules of the cemetery. He then had to send out another letter apologizing for the stunt, which he claimed his campaign had done without his permission or without going "through the usual channels."
Donald Trump did nothing on the two previous anniversaries of the ham-fisted withdrawal from Afghanistan. He's doing something now only because his campaign is in trouble, because he thinks he can blame the relevant deaths on Pres. Biden, and because he has a reputation for disrespecting the military.
And amusingly, because the story was first reported by National Public Radio (NPR), there are renewed calls to defund the network from people who wrongly believe it is paid for by U.S. taxpayer funds as state-run media. It is funded almost entirely by private and corporate donations and has entirely private editorial control.
I'm going to be very, very nervous for the next 10 weeks. But that said, I'm cautiously optimistic. They also tracked Biden 10% ahead of Trump in 2020, and it was quite close. And they also track RFK at 4.7%. So her leading by 3.3% is actually pretty bad.
