It will keep getting bigger.

It might.

But just after the Nomination is the High Mark, unless this Administration can show a significant political achievement in the next two months - maybe a Gaza or Ukraine ceasefire, some great news about the economy.

But it's no longer in their hands, really.

We are at the stage in the race when both sides try not to make any mistakes whilst desperately hoping that the other side will get hit by scandal.

She was assaulted in Bergdorf Goodman, not Bloomindales...

Oops, you're right, it was Bergdorf's. Now I'm confused. I don't get it. :(

ETA - Actually I do get it. I think the poster who made the Bloomingdale's reference simply got the stores mixed up. I remembered it being Bloomingdale's, too. And I wasn't the only one. Right, Stacyhs? ;)

All I know is I can't afford to shop at either.

But when in 2020 was Biden's lead 10%? After the Democrat's convention? After the republicans? Right before the voting date?

A nomination convention is supposed to boost a party in the polls. I don't think the polls would have surveyed people after the convention yet. So 3.3% PRIOR to that isn't too bad.

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/polls/president-general/2020/national/

He was 7.8% before DNC. 9.3% after. 10.5% on mid October. 8.4% is the last value. Even if RFK does not fold, Kamala is at least 5% worse. If RFK folds, it could be as bad as 10%.

They will get to the "never Dems" beyond which there will be no more movement. The divide is a chasm.

Obviously, but there are a lot fewer of those than there were - thankfully, they're dying off, and the new generation being added to the rolls every day hasn't generally learned that level of stupidity yet.

In a completely non-shocking turn of events, RFK jr. is endorsing Trump:

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s campaign told a Pennsylvania court that he will be endorsing former President Donald Trump, ahead of his own Friday afternoon announcement putting to rest a tumultuous independent presidential campaign.

The filing in Pennsylvania, in a lawsuit related to a legal challenge to his own ballot access in the state, said that Kennedy was withdrawing from the ballot "as a result of today's endorsement of Donald Trump for the office of President of the United States." Source

As has been already discussed, I doubt this will have much of an impact on anything.

RFK, in his speech suspending his campaign, urged supporters to vote for Trump. He said Trump will appoint him to a top admin. job and, he will, within 2-4 years eliminate all sorts of children's diseases and make America the healthiest country in the World. Sounds crazy and I would be skeptical (That he actually said it) but I heard his speech. He emphasized this depends on Trump fulfilling a promise he made to him. He's truly nuts.

Which Trump is very well known for doing.

Yep! Bloomingdale's, Bergdorf's, Target, Dollar Store, Goodwill....who can keep them all straight?
