Trump seems to be making up words and using them and gibberish noises to replace words that have left his vocabulary.
 
Worry about the battleground states. But also worry about low information voters. Why do they bother to vote? Some sort of duty to their social group?

Current enthsiasm. It all lasts about a month to settle down to usual trenches. By the time of the election the low information voter will decide on a random news item like the Comey laptop that he brought out to kill crooked Hillary the last day.

She's as clueless as you are. The shooter wasn't motivated by politics. He intended to shoot either candidate, depending on opportunity.

Trump has his base, some 35% of the voters, and they will vote for Trump no matter what. But now that he is losing poll by poll, there will be no sympathy votes for Trump. The bullet did not ruin his ear. The jail thing...nothing. No bounce at polls in September.

Basically Trump can only be weakened by anything that would lead voters to feel sorry for him.

After the election the Democrats can then design the perfect retirement plan for Trump. Maybe 10 years of community service at the Florida/NJ soup kitchen.

But she did express revulsion at former president Donald Trump’s actions on Jan. 6, 2021.

Vance told friends she was outraged by Trump’s incitement of the deadly riot at the U.S. Capitol and lamented the social breakdown that fueled his political support, according to one friend, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive conversations. Her view at the time contrasts with the later pronouncements of her husband and Trump’s newly minted running mate, JD Vance, who has downplayed the storming of the Capitol and called participants who were jailed “political prisoners.”

“Usha found the incursion on the Capitol and Trump’s role in it to be deeply disturbing,” the friend recalled. “She was generally appalled by Trump, from the moment of his first election.”

Speaking the morning after Usha Vance introduced her husband at the Republican National Convention and watched his speech from the same VIP box as Trump, the friend added, “It was surreal to see her sitting next to him last night.”

That sensation is widely shared among her friends, former co-workers and fellow alumni, more than two dozen of whom spoke to The Washington Post for this story. Some watched in disbelief on July 17 when Usha Vance, 38, addressed an overwhelmingly White crowd on the convention floor that tittered uneasily as she joked about her husband learning to cook Indian food and audibly gasped when she mentioned her vegetarian diet.

“Judusha” is an act. They are nothing but pure opportunists without core conviction or values. Most of us see right through them

That's exactly right.

Because he has no idea of how to cope with a woman or defeat he is doubling down on the stupid, like telling the evangelicals they won't need to vote again after he's president. That might be music to their ears, but it will turn off some of his less-insane voters. He's desperate and clutching at straws, but all he's going to do is continue to give reasons for the vast majority of non-MAGA out there to go and vote against him.

Fox News just released a poll showing Harris making good ground, and out of curiosity I had a look at RealClearPolitics front page to see what the right is saying, and they got nothing.

A couple of weeks ago, articles on why Biden is the devil who must be thrown out dominated, but they have no idea how to attack Harris. The most meaningful headline on the site was by Newt Gingrich, telling Republicans to beware of Harris.
 
What Trump has to worry about is that things will only gather momentum and if he starts to slide in the polls he's had it.
