Cont: 2024 Election Thread part 2

Quite interesting that every single former Democratic Presidential and Vice Presidential candidate that is alive has endorsed Kamala Harris. I was going to say none of the Republicans of similar status endorsed Trump. But that's not true. Palin has. That's it. Not Quayle, not W, not Ryan, Not Romney, not Pence. And Dick Cheney not only didn't endorse Trump, he endorsed Harris.

So all you Trump supporters that say it's just us liberals that can't stand Trump, think again.

Yep, all those RINOs like Romney, Cheney, Pence, McCains family, Reagan's family, Bush's aides, but wait--there's more;

Trump's own family (niece and nephews), former attorneys, former press secretaries, former cabinet members, former white supremacist friends, even his current running mate!

They've all spoken out against him, yet thanks to the power of $ along with foreign enemy influence and right wing media propping up his persona, he still is in a close race to become our Supreme Leader!

How the heck is this happening in what is supposedly a better informed world?
Religious beliefs are supposedly dying out, yet stupidity still runs rampant.

Trump is cementing his position as favourite to rule again.
This is strictly because Harris and Walz are terrible candidates who can not be taken seriously.
You are savvy enough to understand that Harris is a low IQ candidate, the lowest in history.

This only comes from enemy, anti American sources. Where is a source untainted by an association with Trump or Trumptrash?

:dl:

Name your price - I'll take that bet.

I see you've decided to pick up Trump's latest ploy - doubling down on the insanity.

His most recent three examples are:

Making Elon Musk responsible for government efficiency
Deleting the Department of Education
Sending everyone who tried to get people to vote against him to prison
Taking personal control of the DoJ

But Harris is bad...

I'm not sure why...maybe it was the way I was raised...but his latest press conference where he stated unapologetically that his sexual assault victim was "not the chosen one" struck me as the vilest (of many) comment of all. His attorneys standing by his side appeared visibly disgusted when he said that. But it is still given a pass by the MSM and all of his cultists....disgusting.

The most interesting part of your comment is the use of the word "rule". A little Freudian slip there, Samson?

Hmmm. It seems to me that Trump is taking them very seriously considering his attempt to discredit them and his obsession with being called "weird". He mentions it a lot, including in his rallies, events, and interviews. It's gotten under his skin so much that he used the word “weird” 11 times in 40 seconds during a town hall event in Wisconsin on Thursday trying to defend himself.

“He is weird,” Trump said. “He’s weird, I’m not weird, he’s weird. No, he’s a weird guy, he’s a weird dude.
See, they come up with sound bites, they always have sound bites, and one of the things is that JD and I are weird. That guy is so straight, JD is so, he’s doing a great job, smart, top student, great guy, and he’s not weird and I’m not weird. I mean we’re a lot of things but we’re not weird I will tell you, but that guy is weird.”

and

“They’re the weird ones,” Trump said during a radio interview earlier this month. “I’m a lot of things, but weird, I’m not.”

(I agree that he's "a lot of things" and none of them is good)

and

“No, we’re not weird,” he said in Montana. “We’re very solid people.”

We're savvy enough to know when claims are being pulled straight out of someone's nether regions. Like that one.

Have you ever asked yourself why Trump had his lawyers send every school he ever attended a letter instructing them to never release any of his records? Maybe he was just too embarrassed by the glowing praise and remarkable grades he received. After all, "everyone knows" what a humble and self-effacing man he is.

Trump really showed by means of comparison how horrible a person can be and still have some basic standards, or hell even not that some simple basic level of shame or self awareness enough to not performatively be the most horrible person anyone has ever met.

At times we've angered people in this discussion because it seems like what we are saying is that Bush and Cheney and Reagan are somehow "better" in comparison and it's not NOT that but it's also not exactly that.

I think Reagan, Bush, and Cheney were all doing what they thought was best for America. They were MASSIVELY and inexcusably wrong on a level nobody has to @ me over and I'm probably the board's biggest booster for the idea that at a certain point being intellectually wrong and being morally wrong becomes the same thing, but there is still a difference there somewhere.

Donald says:

“I will bring back Free Speech in America. I will sign an executive order
banning any federal employee from colluding to limit speech, and we will
fire every federal bureaucrat who is engaged in domestic censorship under
the Harris regime.”

Hm.

There has not been a Harris administration yet.
So, no hired bureaucrats, yet.

Do this mean, he thinks, he will not win this election?
And he plans on running again in either the year 2028, or the year 2032?

Agreed, and we have yet to see (or rather our descendants may see) just how history handles this. But even if there is a results-oriented viewpoint in which character ends up not mattering so much (the road to Hell is after all, smoothly paved), at some human level it makes a difference.

There's the old trope or whatever, of whether you'd be happy to sit down with someone for a beer (or in one case Coke). I imagine I could do so with most of those people, even if we ended up arguing intractably about the relative merits of Bud Lite and Samuel Adams, but Trump would throw his drink in your face and leave declaring himself the winner.

Nobody ever really knows what Trump means. The man is nuts, along with the +/- 40% of the US voters who will vote for him.

Anyone who fails to see that Trump is mentally deranged and dangerous is either hiding his head in the sand, incredibly stupid, and/or just plain likes his disgusting behavior and rhetoric.

Biden may be showing signs of age-related memory problems, but Trump is just plain nuts and dangerous.

But but but Harris has a low IQ of only 120!! Therefore we must vote Trump for god-emperor!

You haven't noticed the latest Trump business debacle at Trump Media, have you?

What really gets me is that Trump's and Samson's claim of Harris' "low IQ" are just accusations pulled out of their behinds. There is no evidence of that whatsoever. But, then again, that's pretty much par for the course.

Even if her IQ were 120, that's still considered "gifted".

I'm aware, and I suspect that claims of 'low IQ' are based upon Harris' skin colour.

Who knows what the hell he thinks. If indeed he does. The autopsy will be interesting, when the day comes. Maybe he was speaking hypothetically, maybe he really believes he won't win, maybe he's dumb enough to believe Harris decides things even though she's only VP, so that the current admin is the "Harris administration". Many of his followers sure are. People will be studying Dump and his cult for decades and decades. I for one have given up on understanding him.

Much like how Republican stupidity requires Liberals to at the same time be limp wristed beta cucks that need a safe space AND violent terrorist burning down Portland, Democratic politicians have to always be doing nothing and at the same time doing everything wrong.

I think it's going to turn out there's a sizeable brain tumor in there, but --here's the twist-- the entity we know as Trump is the tumor, we've never actually heard anything from the original human host.

The brain worms have gained sentience.
