I've seen both the Lincoln Project and Beau (now Belle) of the Fifth Column floating the idea that there's a anti-Drumpf mole on his campaign staff. Someone intentionally trying to get him to lose. I don't know if I believe that myself, but so far, to put it mildly, his campaign strategy has been... Weird.
Maybe he's given up hope that he will actually win and is just treating the campaign as a kind of rock tour at this point, just trying to draw as big crowds as he can before he goes to jail?

Only reason I do not buy the "He deep down does not want to win" theory is he thinks he needs to win to stay out of jail and make his legal problems vanish.
I think it is more a case he has forgotten how to appeal to anyboyd but his base.

Does this moron think that vaping is not harmful? Bragging that vaping "helped people get off smoking" while they stayed addicted to nicotine is just insane.

Additionally, flavored vaping is more attractive to young people than cigarettes.

Vaping is less harmful than cigarettes. It's not not harmful. But it's better.

Yes, in an ideal world kids would not be addicted to nicotine. But when they are, it's better for them to get their nicotine from vaping than from cigarettes.

You've never smelled vape on someone's breath? No, it's not as strong as cigarettes, but if you're talking to someone and their breath smells like strawberries and cream, you can tell.

ETA: But this isn't a thread about vaping, so as Stacyhs suggests we'd better leave it at that.

Trump isn't worried about campaigning too much, he's only doing it for the accolades of his supporters.

MAGA is going to try to win through the courts and by bypassing the voting process.

Ballot error shuts down Montana online absentee voting system

When Max Himsl opened his electronic ballot on Friday, he was dismayed to see a candidate missing from the list of options.

Voting absentee electronically while living abroad, Himsl saw that under the options for president, only Republican Donald Trump and Independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr. were listed. Missing was Democrat Kamala Harris.

“I’m upset my democratic process was interrupted,” he said.

Election officials were notified of the error shortly after the Electronic Absentee System that allows certain voters to cast their ballot electronically went live on Friday at 8 a.m., according to the Montana Secretary of State’s Office which reported that the error was isolated to the online system.

“Our team and the vendor quickly investigated and found that only a few voters may have been impacted,” the Secretary of State’s Office said through email. “As a precaution, the Electronic Absentee System has been taken offline until troubleshooting is completed.”

The system was expected to be available to eligible voters later Friday, including those few voters who may have been impacted, the office said.

Trump raised only 44.5 million in August.

This is not good news for ex-president Donald Trump, and it gets worse for Republicans as V.P. Kamala Harris and the DNC raised $257 million, while as Trump and the RNC raised just $85 million in August.
