2020 Presidential Election

If you are talking about the more than an hour long video, it did belong in the CT forum. The subject was how Trump was going to steal the election, not just by voter suppression, but by a half dozen states nullifying their election results and proclaiming their EC votes go to Trump.
The video - no comment, didn't watch.

The concept - we can debate the likelihood. But realize, there is such a thing as a CT being plausible. Trump broadcasted his intentions. Take inventory of the possible mechanisms that could be used to put the election in the hands of SCOTUS. This is low hanging fruit. All it takes is a compliant state legislature. PA is already taking some ominous actions.

Why does an "election integrity" panel with subpoena power need to be established weeks before an election? Because of supposed voter fraud of course.

Pa. Republicans want to create and control an ‘election integrity’ panel with subpoena power

I just hope that everyone decides:

1.) to go and vote whatever type of state you are in: deep blue, deep red, whatever, just vote!
2.) to forget about third parties! This is not the time to be pure!
3.) to not leave it too late! Make sure you go as soon as you can! Make sure you are registered if that window has not already closed.

I fear that some people still may be complacent, but there is still time to wake them from their dogmatic slumbers.

I'm worried about hacked voting machines.

We went through the vaguely xenophobic economic "But country X is going to own us!" thing back in the 80s/early 90s with Japan.

Economies don't work that way on a level of countries. Us owing X amount to China isn't exactly the same as Ted owning me 20 bucks.

China can't just call in all their debts at once and make it so we have to park the entire country at a neighbor's house to keep China from repossessing it in the night. These are Treasury debts not personal debts. Owning American debt is about a wonderfully good investment because of the relative strength of the US economy.

And China owns about 5% of American debt. And their economy is so tied to ours because of trade and keeping their currency tied to the US Dollar that them pulling any crap on that debt would be economic suicide for them. For them it would be like burning down both the only employer and place to shop in your home town to protests their wages and prices.

It was great to be back in North Carolina with thousands of loyal, hardworking American Patriots! This election is a simple choice: If Biden Wins, China Wins. When WE Win, YOU WIN, North Carolina WINS, and America WINS!

Joe Biden and the Democrat Socialists will kill your jobs, dismantle your police departments, dissolve your borders, release criminal aliens, raise your taxes, confiscate your guns, end fracking, destroy your suburbs, and drive God from the public square.

I know in my brain he means undocumented people but I can't help but imagine Biden getting elected, going into the Oval Office, pressing a button on the desk while cackling evilly and out somewhere in the desert of Nevada or New Mexico or somewhere this hatch half buried in the sand pops open and a bunch of Predators and Xenomorphs and MiB aliens start pouring out.

And then call an Uber to pick up God from the town square.

Does any of this ******** really move the dial in his favor at all anymore? I've been seeing more and more articles about people just being exhausted by Trump, even people that voted for him the last time.

Poor Jeff. He is catching it from both sides after his tweet.

From trump supporters claiming he is a traitor or was never a republican.
From the other side he is being asked why he didn't speak up earlier when he was still a Senator.

Nominative deteminism.

If we don’t win, the Radical Left will destroy our Country. Biden refuses to answer questions on packing the SCOTUS! Dems will pack the Court w/ radical left justices who will shred the #2A, empower violent mobs, and protect terrorists & violent criminals!

I can't tell you why, but it felt very good to vote early on the first day and get it over with. It was something that was going to be hanging over my head if I didn't get it done. Now that it is done I am very happy.

I can't say others felt the same, but I understand some might.

That being said, I wasn't about to wait in a two hour line to vote. My line was reasonable, about 15 - 20 minutes, and voting was not a big deal. If it had been longer I wold have come back later in the week.

This was not true at our polling place. Only about half of the machines were being used at any given time because of the holdup at the ID check. More poll workers were obviously needed. Or, some of our machines should have been sent to other polling places.

It still wasn't a long wait, but the ID check was the obvious bottleneck in the operation.

Another hold-up was the line of voters who had issues with the machines. I'm not sure what the issue was, but some people had to return their ballots after voting because they were rejected by the scanning machine and then get new ballots to complete their voting. It took up almost as many poll workers as the ID check. And it looked very frustrating for both the poll workers and the voters.

The highlighted.

I've either walked or cycled (if I wanted to be quicker) to the polling station in 30 years of voting, in safe Tory, safe Labour, and marginal constituencies. The round trip, less any other tasks has taken at most half an hour, including the walk.

The actual queue to vote has sometimes (rarely) extended to maybe four people in front of me.

I was right again! Steve Scully just admitted he was lying about his Twitter being hacked. The Debate was Rigged! He was suspended from @cspan indefinitely.
The Trump Campaign was not treated fairly by the “Commission”.
Did I show good instincts in being the first to know?

As someone who works the polling stations during a election here in the uk, the longest I've ever seen a line was about a doze people, and that was only because the person manning the station with me had gone to the toilet and a group of people all turned up at once.

Incidentally my favourite ever incident while working was when the UKIP candidate for the constituency turned up to vote...and we had to send him away because he had come to the wrong polling station.

You don't actually need to take your polling card with you, and no ID at all is needed to vote.

It would be laughably easy to vote for someone else, and there'd be almost no way of being caught - as long as you knew that that person wasn't going to vote themselves.

Or someone knowing the voter - my polling station serves a larger population than average, about 1500 voters. There's a fair chance someone would recognise me trying to vote twice, or know who I was trying to impersonate. And that's for one measly paper vote. Hardly likely to even swing a parish council election.

I will be doing a major Fake @NBCNews Town Hall Forum, live tonight from Miami, at 8:00 P.M. They asked me to do it in place of the Rigged Steve Scully (he is now suspended from @cspan for lying) Debate. I wonder if they’ll treat me as well as Sleepy Joe? They should!

Oh yeah, because everyone has a credit card.

I know you aren't in this country so I can see why you haven't read all the voter suppression news.

Everybody should have some form of ID. In most cases in the US that would be a driving license or state ID. You can't even open a bank account or cash a cheque in the US without ID or indeed perform a host of other basic functions in a modern society.

Mind you, the people without ID are most likely to vote Democratic which is why the Democrats are so outraged on their behalf. If they were more likely to vote Republican, the positions of the two parties would be exactly reversed.

There's very little room for principle in US politics.

Election days are not holidays there, are they?

In my precinct, the lines are usually very short, but if you decide to vote at 7:30 before you go to work, the line will likely be quite long, because that's the most popular time to vote.

That's on a normal election year. My district is full of upper middle class Democrats. My guess is that come election day, most of the town will have already voted.

What private companies require to enter a private contractual relationship for services is not a proper basis for determining the baseline for voting rights or any other human right or civil liberty.

The government is not a business. It is senseless and dangerous to want it to act like one.

Why do you so excitedly embrace oppression?
