Crazy Little Green Dragon
Half the country is convinced that there is voter fraud, and half the country is convinced that Trump is involved in a coup. Both sides of that are, in my opinion, dumb and panicky.
As of some number of days ago, it was more like 20% of the country that didn't accept Biden's win already, with only 3% claiming that Trump won. As for Trump wanting a coup (or more technically, self-coup)? Hard to say the numbers, but... if it looks like a duck and sounds like a duck, it's usually not particularly wrong to call it a duck. Add to that the part where there are some rather loud voices among the people that he's been pointedly pandering to for years that are calling for him to try to pull one off, among far too many other things... there's plenty of reason for serious concern. Trump is unlikely to succeed, for a variety of reasons, and may concede in light of that, but that does not lessen how bad the situation actually is.
This crap is never going to end. Facts aren't the issue here. It's the acceptance and normalization of the tactics that is the problem in my view.
Which somewhat wraps around full circle - given that *you* are the person in this discussion that's been acting to normalize such - which is what much of the friction you're generating arises from when those who take issue with that are strongly against normalizing it.
Are you sure you were meant to post that bit?
Likely. Emily's Cat quite seems to understand that that is a strategy in play and openly states that she doesn't like it, but as ever, had remarkable difficulty in differentiating between the forces that actually seek to employ that as a political strategy and those who regard it more as an unfortunate consequence of the actual facts and evidence available.
If, given the implication in your question, you really want to consider EC to be... working for some power, it may be worth a reminder that doubt/disinformation campaigns tend to employ a number of approaches, and sometimes with multiple at once. The "direct idiot" approach is only one branch of several.
