The Review editorial board broke with Trump a long time ago. During the election cycle some of the columnists supported his policies, despite his flaws. Some were kind of iffy and said he's better than a Democrat. Some openly supported Biden. That would have been unthinkable for any other Republican candidate.

They were no fans of Trump. During the election of 2016, during primary season, they devoted a whole issue to reasons you should vote for anyone but Trump. They kinda sorta got behind him after the nomination and election, but they were never more than lukewarm. It doesn't surprise me at all that they would condemn him now.

ETA: But I read the article, and it's a real shame that it even had to be written, and it's a bigger shame that anyone beyond a few fringe whackos will denounce them for it.

Someone - or more than one person - was drawn and quartered in Merry Olde England and then the four parts of the body were buried in parts of London corresponding to the four different map directions (north south east west).

Now THAT is insult to injury. What, they were making sure that the four parts of the quartered body wouldn’t reassemble? Maybe, but they also wanted to rub it in FAR past what anything rational could require. THAT is rubbing it in.

I used to be one of those people who tsked-tsked when I saw a parent with a toddler having a meltdown in a store. And I could handle a room full of middle schoolers with no problem. Then I had a kid with ADHD. Was that ever an eye opener. Sometimes the only thing you can do is just leave the store which I had to do on more than one occasion.
