You forgot to "unskew" the polls. According to some conservatives, you need to add about 10 points to Romney and remove 10 from Obama in order to get past the "libral medeuh bias".

Still leaves Obama in a firm lead, but at least it makes some people feel better about themselves.

Why, that's just plain unfair! Either the bookies are all Obama sycophants, or they are deliberately keeping Romney's odds down in order to cash in big when he undoubtedly wins.

I would also point out that Mondale absolutely creamed Reagan in the first debate in the 1984 election.

Kerry also creamed Bush in all their debates. These days, debates don't matter as much. It's a long time since Nixon's five-o-clock shadow and Reagan's "there you go again".
