This was on the BBC news this morning.
This confirms a large Danish study which showed no change in autism rates before and after MMR introduction.
The only caveat to this study is that the Japanese MMR is not the same as the UK MMR (it differs in the strain of mumps virus).
And yet there...
Latest study shows autism rates increased nearly 3 fold after withdrawl of MMR in Japan. Only one conclusion springs to mind....
(PS - don't forget that after MMR was withdrawn in Japan in 1992, in the next 5 years there were 79 measles deaths)
Don't know if you've seen the trailers for this, but just in case: What they didn't tell you about MMR during the scare ; Thursday 18th November at 21:00.
What we weren't told in the opinion of the Dispatches team I don't know, but they're usually pretty on-the-ball, so it might be good viewing.
Well, not only is there a doctor in the UK who faked test results on the effectiveness of low-quality single jabs for measles... and is going away for 10 years:

BUT... Brian Deer...

I was cordially invited to give my opinion, but have ignored it, mostly because other more informed and educated folks have come back with intelligent answers.
It's funny what lengths the anti-vaccine crowds are going to...
I am gathering evidence from countless Mums who admit their children started to talk/walk shortly after having had an MMR jab or booster. I have had more reports of this astonishing and significant phenomenon so far than Wakefield had autism cases.
My quandary is this- should I subject my data...
It seems that the U.S., which has more of an "entrepreneurial spirit" than Britain, is more "fertile" ground for MMR woowoo. I'm not a big fan of the Washington Post, but they do a pretty good job here.
This from The Sunday Times yesterday -
The two boys were in the small minority of children not given MMR for medical reasons (they both have kidney transplants and were on immunosuppressive drugs)
The take up in their area of London was only 52% so they got no protection from "herd immunity"...
Details are sketchy, since this is something I just heard on the radio, and I can't find an online source yet. But it seems that 10 of the 12 authors of the paper which sparked the MMR controversy have now formally withdrawn their conclusions. More information as I can find it.
I wrote to channel five expressing my concerns about mis representing the facts of MMR, damaging public health and asked if they would take responcibility for s drop in MMR vaccination uptake. Here is the reply:
Dear ********
Thank you for your recent e-mail regarding Hear The Silence...
This article in the new scientist, showing the dangers of bad science and media misrepresentation of a situation.
If anyone is in any doubt of the dangers of measles, the problems of not getting all 3 at the same time and the potential damage done to childrens health i will be happy to provide...
