So apparently I've pissed off Ken Ham

I did a blog post recently about the apparent financial troubles of the Creation Museum in Kentucky - http://skepticalteacher.wordpress.com/2013/06/23/creation-museum-running-out-of-cash-and-going-extinct/ - and somehow Ken Ham, the director of the Creation Museum, got hold of it. He was not...

Merged Thank You, America! See you in court.

There are rumors that AIG considers suing the U.S. government for the $100+ billion bail-out of AIG, without which the company would now be history. :boggled: Nice going. Good PR, guys. Time for an extra option package for the genius who came up with the idea.

Creationist Ice Core/isotope claim - a little help

Do we we have any atomospheric scientists here, or people familiar enough with ice cores to discern the scientific facts about isotopes from Creationist BS? Here's snippets of a discussion from Facebook link to group - must join to participate. My request for evidence resulted in 3 sources...

    AIG conspiracy unravels

"The idea of secret banking cabals that control the country and global economy are a given among conspiracy theorists who stockpile ammo, bottled water and peanut butter. After this week’s congressional hearing into the bailout of American International Group Inc., you have to wonder if those...

Answers in Genesis tackles atheist ad campaign

Ended up on the AiG web site just now, courtesy of a link on skepticblog. Featuring predominately on the top of their page is a big banner, with the "be good for goodness' sake" ad campaign and the caption "Is being good enough?". Here is the article you get by clicking the link, with commentary...

liars' loans fraud, deceiving Geithner and the stupid US-taxpayers

Even if I didn't lose any money in the current crisis, the interview between Bill Moyers and William K. Black made me quite angry about the scope of WTF was - and according to him - STILL IS going on behind the scenes: Excerpts: Full Interview...

    Taxing the bonuses

What do people think about this tax that Congress is up for, to tax AIG bonuses at 90%? Like most of you, I don't think executives that ran a company into the ground, and took the world economy with them, deserve a bonus. Come to think of it, they don't deserve a salary. Come to think of it...

    Just Let Them Die

I believed the President and all the politicians when they told us that we just had to prop up the failing financial institutions with billions of taxpayer dollars. It was just too big, and too wide reaching, that all kinds of pandemonium would erupt if we didn't band together behind our poor...

AIG bailout. Where did the money come from

So, this week, the government spent 85 billion bucks to prevent AIG from collapsing. Ignoring for the moment whether or not this was a good idea, how could they do it legally? Congress holds the power of the purse. Surely the Treasure Department isn't authorized to write a blank check for 85...

LOT's of JOB openings at the Creation Museum

Seems the Creation museum has a lot of openings. I wonder why :) All job applicants need to supply a written statement of their testimony, a statement of what they believe regarding creation and a statement that they have read and can support the AiG statement of faith. Food...

    Fundies buy dinosaur park.

I don't know if this has been covered elsewhere on the forums, but... According to this LA Times story the roadside dinosaur park made famous in the movie "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" was bought up by a bunch of fundementalists and re-cast to support Creationism. Depressing but true.
