Do you remember what thread or what post it was in which you were discussing the difference in effectiveness of wearing a mask that wasn't the closest fit? Was that more effective in preventing the wearer from being infected, or from infecting others?

I finally got a response regarding how many people registered in California in 2016, so far.

Here it is:

Thank you for contacting the Secretary of State's Elections Division with your recent email.

We cannot determine which voters re-registered, only that they registered. In the statewide voter database as of 5/6/2016, there are 1,305,177 registrants with a registration date of 01/01/2016 or later. Here is the breakdown of those numbers by qualified parties:

Party

American Independent: 45,141 (Many people signed up for this party by accident, seeing the "Independent" in the title.)

Democratic: 618,431

Green: 4,241

Libertarian: 10,864

Peace and Freedom: 5,164

Republican: 289,880
