I was hoping someone else would start this thread, because I've been waiting all day for these raids to get started, and all I'm hearing is they are "in progress".

Reality is that all communities that might conceivably be home to all the brown people will already have preparations in place for this nonsense. So the Neue Geheime Staatspolizei will come storming in and arrest...almost nobody.

Also, it would appear that Indians, that is subcontinentals in Musk's high tech and related industries, comprise a huge component of US illegal immigrants. About 3/4 million of them. They didn't cross over the southern border. They flew in to international airports. Then overstayed their visas thus making them "illegal immigrants". By rights, the Neue Geheime Staatspolizei should be hunting them down and throwing them out immediately. Bet they won't though. ;)

Sources told Bloomberg that while 18,000 people of Indian origin living in the US illegally had been identified so far, the true number was likely far higher. According to the Pew Research Center, there are an estimated 725,000 undocumented Indian immigrants in the US, making them the third largest group after those from Mexico and El Salvador.

No one knew it could be complicated to deport millions of people on the 1st day after an Emperor's inauguration!

It is being reported that agricultural workers in Bakersfield, California are afraid of going to work, after Trump's declared work on undocumented citizens. Even though people have citizenship in many cases, it is being reported that the default position of ICE is for them to prove it, resulting in reported feelings of intimidation by innocent workers.

Fully 75% of immigrant farm workers didn’t show up to work the other day in Bakersfield, California because of fears of ICE raids. America’s agricultural communities will be the hardest hit from Trump’s harsh immigration policies. Food prices are going to skyrocket.americasvoice.org/blog/immigra... @Jon Cooper US ,Democrat bluesky

Surprise...and...?
Nobody* expects the Hispanic Imposition! Our chief weapon is surprise, surprise and fear, fear and surprise. Our *two* weapons are fear and surprise, and ruthless efficiency. Our *three* weapons are fear and surprise and ruthless efficiency and an almost fanatical dedication to Trump...
Four!

"Under Democratic governor JB Pritzker, Illinois has taken measures to protect undocumented migrants from the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents that are said to be coming for them.

"The state government has told school principals not to let ICE agents onto campuses without a warrant, while Illinois's state-based officers are banned from engaging in immigration enforcement."

Good luck JB. Every school system west and south of cook county is gonna escort ICE onto every campus in their jurisdictions. and Stephen Miller wll make sure you are arrested and prosecuted for obstruction.

Anyone remember the absolute ****fits Trump and MAGA had over the FBI raid on Mar-a-lago...the one for which they had a warrant?

I just finished watching an old British miniseries, Enemy at the Door, about the German occupation of the Channel Islands during WWII. As I watched it, it brought to mind Trump and his immigration raids.

We told the maga weirdoes this would happen:

Farms already seeing 'massive drop off' in workers as mass deportations begin: report

...and like the idiots that they are, they're calling it fake news by the "liberal" media (i.e. MSN), because according to them, the DNC run media lies about everything, but then when the following is reported by the same:

Trump’s Mass Deportation Operation Begins with Over 300 Criminal Aliens Rounded Up on Day One

They fall all over themselves saying it's a fact.

Maga weirdoes sure are stupid.

“Yesterday about 25% of the workforce, today 75% didn’t show up.”

Richard S. Gearhart, an associate professor of economics at California State University, Bakersfield offered concern for the food industry as a whole.

“If this is the new normal, this is absolute economic devastation,” he said to CalMatters. “You are talking about a recession-level event if this is the new long-term norm.”
How can it be devastation! Where are all the hard-working Americans whose jobs these should have been in the first place? Nobody told them yet?

There are all those coal industry ex-employees waiting for the mines to reopen without modern equipment, can't those lazy bums not be shipped out at gunpoint to make up the lack or agro workers?

Probably don't want to get their hands dirty digging in California dirt. Might turn them socialist or sumthin'.

ICE will just round up the homeless in unmarked vehicles and drag them to the fields where they'll be forced to work. Manufacturing of manacles and bullwhips will explode! (Manufactured in China, of course.) MASA! (Make America Slaveholding Again!)

I see you've been given one of Trump's magic security clearances and now have access to the plan.

With King Felonious' new orders and unchecked climate change, there's going to be plenty of empty, infertile fields for the homeless to die on.

what's a few dead cops and people? We get to have a legal precedent to ignore.
The higher-risk raid strategy is only necessary in "sanctuary" jurisdictions that don't honor ICE holds. Jurisdictions that comply with ICE holds simply hold their prisoner for a couple weeks, so ICE has a chance to pick them up in a controlled, safe environment.

Speaking of ignoring legal precedent.

Yes, "controlled and safe". Two words that come to mind whenever I think of the implementation of Trump's policies.

ICE holds - ICE picking up prisoners from jails - are a policy that long predates Trump, and have been upheld by Democrat administrations. And it's a lot safer and more controlled than having to conduct raids on violent offenders who are walking around free because their local jurisdiction refuses to comply with ICE holds.

In this case, it's the progressive polices that are neither safe nor controlled. Progressives would rather have violent offenders that are in the country illegally stay in their communities, then hand them over to the federal authorities for deportation.

You know a seven-second google search proves what you're saying isn't true, right? Would you like me to link to some of the studies that disprove your claim? Or did you want to continue living in your little fantasy realm where things are true because say they are?

More evidence that the Trump's Damn Stupid sit-com is aptly named:

Citrus harvest 'virtually halted' as workers fearing Trump order skip work: report
Story by Brad Reed

President Donald Trump made major promises during the 2024 campaign to lower the cost of groceries.
However, it appears that the president's executive orders on immigration could be throwing a wrench into any progress being made to lower the cost of food.
NBC Bay Area reports that the citrus harvest in California's Central Valley has been "virtually halted" because migrant farmworkers have skipped work en masse in the wake of Trump's sweeping executive orders cracking down on undocumented immigrants...

I'm still waiting on these "big" raids, but the only real number I've seen so far is 308. Am I missing some of the news reports or something?

They lost the element of surprise so they had to postponed the yuge super seekret raids. Ketchup bottles were probably thrown by the Führer.
