Nancy Mace forgot who she was logged in as

Okay, possibly giving unreasonable benefit of doubt here, but some public figures have a social media account and social media staff. Sometimes they use the same account as their staff. I don't think there's anything unreasonable here.

ETA except for the nazi ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ of course. Nothing unreasonable in the tweets, I mean.

Nancy Mace is now 1) sporting an arm sling and brace (the result of what she calls a "violent handshake") and 2) threatening to sue media outlets that report on the incident in ways she finds insulting. HuffPost reports:
Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) says she was assaulted at a foster youth advocacy event earlier this week; witnesses say it was just a handshake. Whatever the truth, the South Carolina Republican sure would be a lot happier if the media stopped reporting on it. Mace told far-right influencer Benny Johnson Thursday she believes the reporting amounts to defamation, and warned that media outlets covering the story better watch their backs.

Mace also shared a photo of herself wearing an arm sling and a brace on social media Thursday. The photo was immediately ridiculed by Natalie Johnson, a former Mace staffer, who called it “a pathetic ploy for attention.” HuffPost article via Yahoo News link

The inmates are running the asylum.

This reminds me of the Adam Sandler movie, "Anger Management." Sandler is on a flight and unable to get headphones from the flight attendant as an in-flight movie plays. As she comes down the aisle Sandler tries to get her attention but she ignores him. As she passes his seat he brushes her forearm with his fingertips. She gets furious and summons the sky marshal on the flight who arrests Sandler for being disruptive and assaulting a crew member.

In the courtroom scene the flight attendant shows up with her arm in a sling.

Can you elaborate on what you find to be "nazi" about Mace? My exposure to them has been limited to very recent events, none of which seem to be nazi-esque so far as I can tell.
She gets centrists to defend her. Pretty common trait among Nazis

Lol, wow. Your argument for why Mace is a nazi is... normal people don't think they're a nazi?

Anyway, your post was a non-answer to a question. And an inane non-answer at that. If you're going to call someone a nazi, it seems like you ought to be able to explicitly speak to policies and actions that are clearly nazi-like in nature.

This explains a lot. You guys clearly don't know anything about the nazi party and the horrors they committed. "being mean to people beneath them" is kind of not at all the quintessence of it.

When we say that someone is a nazi, we don't mean that they are literally a member of the German National Socialist Party between 1932 and 1945.

It's the only definition that apologists will accept it seems.

And even if a person was literally a member of the German National Socialist Party between 1932 and 1945, they'd find a way to claim that they weren't really committed to the cause and just joined to fit in.

I didn't say normal people

It was an answer. You just didn't like it. Not my job to coddle your feelings

I get that, but at this point, I don't know what it's supposed to mean. It's become incredibly diluted, so it mostly just reads as "someone I don't like".

How can it be so difficult for you or Donal to actually elaborate on what you mean, and describe what you are trying to encapsulate with the term?

Her support of legislation that seeks to exert government control other peoples' bodies is a good start.
Can you be more specific? Are you talking anti-abortion stuff? Or something altogether different?

If it's abortion related, is it then your belief that anyone who opposes abortion is a wannabe fascist... even if they are democrats?

Look, calling someone a nazi or a fascist is a pretty serious accusation. It should be something that can be backed up in a meaningful way. But for all intents, it really seems to mean "those meanies over there" with almost no connection to any policies or beliefs that would support such an accusation.

I mean, I could play that game too. I could say that Rachel Levine is a pedophile, because they have pushed really hard in an official capacity to remove any sort of minimum ages on any sort of gender-identity related medications or surgeries. But unlike you, I recognize that such an accusation is empty blather that is nothing more than an appeal to emotion and an attempt to stoke fear over sense.

Personally I do wish people would reserve the word Nazi for those that are self-declared Nazis and to use a modern expression Nazi adjacent - you know the ones that have a neck tattoo of the number "18" and a chest one of a "sun wheel", but "no siree I ain't a Nazi, but lots of my friends are Nazis".

Nazi friendly? Hitler appreciator? Lousy Painting Lover? Tan shirts?

Modern nazis are too cowardly to self declare. You need to judge them by their actions.

She's a MAGAt. you can quit with the sealioning now.
It's not sealioning. It's pointing out the vacuous and empty insults being leveraged against pretty much anyone who doesn't meet your purity test, regardless of whether it's even remotely applicable.

Seriously, I'm really tired of this petty schoolyard BS that both progressives and the far right engage in. You can't come up with any actual arguments, so you resort to calling people names as if that is somehow convincing. Why not just go ahead and say "This person is a poopyhead, because they're part of a group that I think are all evil scum because I said so!"

Well, Mace is a poopyhead, and is part of a group that are all evil scum (MAGA), and holds some positions on certain subjects that I consider to be absolutely vile.

Which positions? What makes them vile in your view?

When you say that all MAGA are evil scum... do you mean anyone who literally professes some adherence to the phrase "Make America Great Again"? Or do you mean anyone who is part of the Republican Party? Or anyone who voted for Trump? What constitutes group membership in MAGA in your eyes?

Again, I'm not going to get into that here.

Do you mean the German Nazis or the Austrian Nazis? The brown shirts or the black shirts? What constitutes group membership in the Nazi party in your eyes?
