Senator Lemar from Tennessee is tired of the Dems holding him back according to this article:

CNN said:
In a call for free markets and open platforms, Alexander argued that government should be more like Apple, Inc. - working to give private citizens the means "to create a happier, safer, more prosperous life."

It's an idea that "Republican enablers" have fought for for years and that "Democrat mandators" have prevented, he said.

And naturally, Thanks Obama!:

"Too often, Obamacare cancels the policy you want to keep and tells you what policy to buy, even if it costs more and restricts your choices of doctors and hospitals. Republicans believe that freedom and more choices will empower you to find a policy that fits your needs and your budget," he said.

I love the "too often" construction. "Too often, puppies are murdered," indicating there is an appropriate level.

Employers "forced" lots of people to change insurance plans. But, Obama did misspeak when he said ACA would never do so.

"I'm from the government, and I'm here to enable you."
-Ronald Reagan

I am happy that Republicans are finally getting the message that regulations and government interventions in the free market are beneficial to the market as a whole.

Yes, the government should be run by a wise, benevolent dictator who creates a vertical monopoly to gain control over our lives, in return for massive amounts of our money and worship.

Not wholly unrelated:
Map the iPhone Users In Any City, And You Know Where the Rich Live

Wait.. wait... Open Platforms... like Apple?

Well, sure. I can create any app I want and put it in the iTunes Store without burdensome "taxes" on in-app transactions or meeting arbitrary rules that can stifle a free market system. :boggled:

Could be the most accidentally accurate comparison ever.

Best line from the comments on the OP article:
GOP is more like the Blackberry party – they are old news and all thumbs when it comes to communication.
