Why is Christie out for President? Holy crap I must've missed something huge...
But seriously, I didn't catch what disqualified him?![]()
You think he has a chance to recover in time?

It's huge, but I don't think you've missed it. C. Christie has been scratched because he's standing in a huge hole in the ground, from which he has no prayer of climbing out because the walls are wet and crumbling. Does anyone think that, "I don't know why my people closed access lanes to the bridge and the worst thing they ever did was lie to me when I never even bothered to ask them why they did it," is ever going to run for president? The dream is dead.
You think he has a chance to recover in time?
I can't believe I made it this far and failed to include even a single morning television show host. Even though I don't think Joe Scarborough will run for president in 2016, he sure has become mentionable. Welcome to ol' Joe!

IMNSHO, Indeterminate would be a better classification for ole joe.Joe Scarborough is no longer considered a Republican within his party. That’s his first problem.
The Ukraine crisis could be a game changer; Foreign policy could become a much bigger factor.
Rand Paul is going to have a rough time satisfying both Mainstream Republicans and his core Ron Paulian consistency in Foreign Policy, given Ron's basically supporting Putin in a USA today op ed piece. The balancing act Rand is trying to pull just got a lot harder.
I doubt it unless we are in armed conflict in the immediate period just before the election. Voters tend to emphasize issues closer to home when in the voting booth, especially in troubled economic times like exist presently. The Ukraine crisis could be a game changer; Foreign policy could become a much bigger factor.

Personally, I doubt he'll have that much difficulty: I think he'll always go mainstream. The Ronulans (still my favorite nickname) may be upset by this "betrayal" but he's still the royal scion and they're probably quite good at rationalizing things they don't agree with away.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) apologized Saturday for using the term "occupied territories" at an event hosted by billionaire GOP donor Sheldon Adelson, CNN and Politico report.
Andy Abboud, the senior vice president of Adelson's Las Vegas Sands Corp., told CNN that Christie later apologized for using the controversial term during a private meeting with the megadonor. According to Abboud, Christie said he "misspoke" during his Saturday speech and that he doesn't "believe that."
Politico offered similar details on the meeting:
The source told POLITICO that Christie “clarified in the strongest terms possible that his remarks today were not meant to be a statement of policy.”
Instead, the source said, Christie made clear “that he misspoke when he referred to the ‘occupied territories.’ And he conveyed that he is an unwavering friend and committed supporter of Israel, and was sorry for any confusion that came across as a result of the misstatement.”
Adelson was reportedly satisfied with Christie's apology.
I think he does. Writing off Cristie at this time is waaaaay premature. If Bush throws his hat in the ring, Christie is dead. Otherwise, not so much.I wonder if we weren't too hasty in crossing Christie off the list though? He seems to be acting like he still has a political future.
