Why do people insist that neo-Nazis haven't played their hand in Ukraine? Most of the organizations responsible for the Euromaidan were far-right organizations. Neutral protestors certainly took part, but far-right activists are the ones who made most of the critical moves.

Don't know if anyone managed to report on this, but some interesting developments have arisen in the city of Kharkiv. If this is a repost, apologies.

It appears that pro-Russian demonstrators have managed replace the Ukrainian flag with a Russian one.

ETA: Seems something similar to the situation in Kharkiv occurred in Donestk.

New York Times confirms these two major incidents in Kharkiv and Donestk.

Large pro-Russia crowds rallied in the eastern Ukrainian cities of Donetsk and Kharkiv, where there were reports of violence.

Apparently there has been an incident in Simferopol allegedly leaving two dead. It seems to have taken place right before the eyes of Russian media. What a coincidence! Luckily no journalists were injured in the crossfire despite being right in the midst of it judging by the images.

I highly doubt it would amount to anything even if they were interested. What would they do - crash the Kremlin's public website? Order Putin a thousand pizzas? They've played roles of varying importance. From what I've read so far, there is disagreement on the degree of importance, but they've been there, no question about it. My request that those individuals (Ukranian neo-Nazis) commit suicide in post #484 is a fairly blunt statement on the issue.

Yup, apparently so. While from those images alone it's impossible to say for certain who those guys are, wielding rifle and pistol is part of the training of Russian Spec Ops. Their doctrine being that a soldier must never be unarmed or with an unloaded gun. So perhaps that guy is wielding his pistol because his rifle is out of ammo. Cannot say for sure.

Yes, some countries in Europe do need also Russian gas. But to an extent Russia has been losing that sort of power.
