UFO identification help please?

I usually work helping people with alien experiences. (abduction is now non PC).

However, I received this request for help identifying a UFO. Any help welcome.

February 17, 2014, me and my two co-worker's saw something not usual in the sky at 7:15pm here in UAE Abu Dhabi. I saw it first and I thought I was just a plastic floating. But i noticed is was not floating and it was flying straight to unknown direction. The object is form in a triangle shape with 6-8 lights on the sides and what struct me most its the base, it was like a plastic white color, almost invisible in the sky, its like transparent. But since the sky was clear, when it was flying, the shape appears. Its like a light cloud form in triangle flying in normal speed i think. I call the attention of my two co-workers if they saw it also and they confirmed it something different. Something we cannot explain. It bother me too much, can you please explained to me what is that thing?

What I like is this is way more information than I usually got, including time of day. Also the speed is "normal". I wish everyone could know speed is very hard to determine for anything in the air.

The triangle shape is of course very common for a UFO.

Any help or suggestions welcome. I keep wondering if it was near sunset or perhaps was just a plane at an odd angle.

At that time it was dark in Abu Dhabi.
As usual, there is not enough information to do anything other than 'guess'.
Besides the award-winning Abu Dhabi International Airport, the emirate has four more airports: Al Ain International Airport, Al Bateen Executive Airport, Sir Bani Yas Island Airport and Delma Island Airport.

My 'guess' is that it wasn't an alien in a flying saucer.
 
One of the new, triangle-shaped drones the Navy is testing? They are configured like the so-called stealth fighter, and quite large for a drone.
 
My understanding is that the UAE is currently negotiating for the purchase of several billion dollars worth of new fighter jets. They are looking at the Eurofighter Typhoon, the Dassault Rafale, and the Boeing F-15, all of which could look triangular, depending on the angle of view.

They already have a number of F-16s and Dassault Mirages, which are quite triangular, depending on the view, and are painted to look like a cloudy sky.

So in addition to the civilian airports, there are military airbases in the area.
 
that's my thought. also his friends didn't seem all that upset. Lots of air traffic in and out of the area.

I have frequently seen regular aircraft that at certain angles appear triangular, cigar-shaped, even saucer-like. It's especially common where I live (seacoast NH) where I can see planes taking off from Pease airport at very low or unusual angles over Great Bay. Were I not so familiar with the sight, I could easily be confused by what I'm seeing and imagine I'm witnessing an alien spacecship.
 
Without pictures of any kind, all you'll get is wild speculation. The sort of speculation that let's people believe they saw something from space.

A Plane formation might look like a transparent shape from the right angle, but without a picture, who knows?
 
Just asking, but why do alien spaceships always have to have lights? :)
They travel through the darkness of space then switch the lights on when they reach Earth? :)

I believe that the U.S. Military has been developing masking techniques for aircraft for a couple decades now. I'm not talking radar evading stealth or heat emissions. I have read a few articles about craft that utilize special paints that change in the manner of a chameleon using sensors of their environment. It would be pretty handy to be able to park a craft above a zone of interest without anybody detecting it. Satellites have their limitations. A blimp at 2000 feet parked for a few days above a known terrorists house has some benefits. That's my guess. The lights may be a way for the military to test effectiveness. Cloaked versus uncloaked. Free sampling by unbiased observers and skeptics would be great for the designers as real world feedback.
As far as alien abductions.....give me a break.

I live just 5 miles from Plant 42, and can hear all sorts of jets flying out of there.. I despair of seeing many of them... that tactical grey paint makes them disappear too quickly.
The sound being 25 seconds behind the airplane's position doesn't help much.
Heard a bigun today... A B-2 going somewhere when I looked.
The distinctive hollow roar of a U-2 gets me out of the house sometimes.
 
That's the rub I suppose. Radar reflective, heat emitting, sound emitting, visually observable, magnetically measurable. Tough to mask all these with a conventional aircraft. I'm thinking that there has been little noise on black projects since the 80's. What has our trillions of dollars in tax money invested in black projects been used for in the last 30+ years? Both the stea;th fighter and the bomber were being secretly flown in the early 80's, this means they were developed in the 70's. With the quantum leaps in computer processing since then I wonder what secrets are out there now.
 
If I saw one of these in the air I would be inclined to think it was an alien spacecraft:
