Now that ASKE know about this thread we'll hopefully get an update following this afternoon's session from them, if not from flaccon.

I certainly hope so. Sadly, we all know that flaccon's response to the ASKE representatives' inability to hear spirit voices will be to go back to square one and seek validation elsewhere. Eventually she'll find some clueless "ghost hunter" with no understanding of pareidolia, confirmation bias etc who'll hear what they're told to hear; and at least one newspaper will lap it up, if it's only the local rag. Meanwhile flaccon's family will be dragged deeper into her delusions.

The really tragic thing about all this is that spirit voices struggling to deliver earth-shattering revelations are only the tip of the iceberg. Flaccon's obsession with demons capable of causing physical harm to people and property is far more disturbing, especially when it's infected her children and grandchildren.

If the spirits aren't more forthcoming some of us might die of old age before we know what catastrophe is about to overcome us.

That would be great.
I'm also looking forward to hearing about Friday's session, too.

And our souls will end up leaping from laptop to laptop as we try to to communicate in ungrammatical sentences, or shout incoherently on YouTube videos...

Absolutely, but it is done via IPv16 and is hence invisible to any current human network. Unless you have IPv16 ears and brain, in which case you can simply make it up. After all who is to know?

So here we are. Flaccon had her Friday, and her Sunday. Any report? No? Gosh, one would think that somebody would report something, anything.

But no, not Flaccon, not scrappy, not flaccon's family, not the church nor the priest, not the "GP", not ASKE. Nothing.

One might almost think that there was nothing to report.

Dear all,

Maybe I can clear up a few points although this thread seems all over the place.

I'm one of the founding members of ASKE (Association for Skeptical Enquiry). We are a small organisation in the UK that is affiliated to ECSO and therefore we conduct preliminary tests for the Sisyphus Prize. I wouldn't describe us as "paranormal investigators". In the distant past I have worked with Randi himself and once designed a preliminary test for a $1 million claimant. You can probably guess the outcome.

We have been approached regarding this challenge a while back and I conducted an informal test which proved negative. Personally I have found the claim itself to be confusing and so another member is going to see what I suppose is a live demonstration. Once we are clear about what is being claimed and that results can be objectively measured we will look to conduct a more controlled test as a preliminary to the Sisyphus Challenge.

I believe the claimant has been in touch with a reporter but to what degree they are involved I have no idea. I didn't know, until today, that this was being discussed on this forum.

Hope this helps a bit. I don't want to say any more at this stage or prejudice the outcome.

Best wishes to all,

Tony Youens for ASKE.

I'd really like to know more about the highlighted sentence.

I'm mostly curious about what the paranormal investigators and reporter have to say (and how the upcoming article will handle it) about demons actually being sea creatures from an alternate (after-death) dimension, and the sea creature attack that resulted in flaccon's false pregnancy. I'm sure it will be an interesting read.[/QUOTE

Sorry just lost a whole post. Will type out on word pad and transfer.

PS The online test with Tony was void. An external mic was used and the file would not open up.

So the preliminary consisted of you transferring a spiritually altered audio file over to ASKE, and Tony trying to hear voices. Is that correct? Was there more to it than that?

No, I asked Tony if he could send me a quiet recording made from his device, and send it through to me via email, as a tester. Tony obliged and considered it my preliminary test.

I've written out a post and it will not let me copy & paste or drag like I usually can do. I'll save it, transfer it to the other PC, and post it tomorrow. G'night.

And was the reason that the test was "void" simply because you couldn't open the file he sent?
Why did we need to know he'd used an external microphone if you never even got to hear what he'd recorded?

Or are you now claiming that the file wouldn't open because he'd used an external microphone?

Maybe the spirits are stopping you from posting it. That's twice now.

Norm
It's odd isn't it? Hummer has had exactly the same problem in another thread. What is it about these people with claimed special (and yet ultimately useless) abilities that leaves them with a complete lack of ability with (ultimately very useful) hard and software?

- Couldn't open file
- Lost post
- Lost post again
- Went to bed.

I think I'm gonna wait to hear from Tony before believing anything.

Your preliminary test for what? Are you suggesting that had Tony heard something that you claimed to hear, that you would get a final test from ASKE?

What was the protocol? Please lay out the proposed protocol clearly on this thread, or I suspect that you are just making all of this up. And that makes you either a liar or delusional.

Hi, flaccon.
I'm looking forward to hearing all about your weekend meetings.

I suspect flaccon simply doesn't understand the significance of the word preliminary in this context. Tony Youens used the word informal, and said the test was negative rather than void, but he has confirmed that some kind of test was done so flaccon certainly isn't making it up.

I am also looking forward to reading flaccon's account of the weekend's events.
