All you need is love.
I don't believe that her wearing the shirt was a PR move at all. I think it was how she was feeling, although wearing it may have hurt her in some people's eyes.Happy Valentines to you as well or were you harkening back on one of the great PR moves in this case?

Only a fanatic could look at the picture of her walking into court with the oversized t-shirt emblazoned with the words "All You Need is Love" and not cringe.
Even when the kids themselves say they did something that caused some of their troubles some people feel the need to explain it away with Stockholm Syndrome or some such thing.
I don't think this is helping their case.
Sometimes life doesn't let people just be themselves and this is one of them.
ETA - the famous t-shirt wasn't just noticed by a couple of reporters. It was everywhere because it was so bizarre.

I would have advised against wearing the shirt, but it was a tempest in a teapot, as far I am concerned. PR should not rule this case; facts should.
I must be a fanatic because it didn't phase me one bit that a young American in an Italian prison for a crime she did not commit, being manipulated by so many older Italians ranging from the police and prosecutor to a prison HIV "doctor" and a soon-to-be-charged rapist-deputy-warden, feeling isolated and helpless and lonely, given a T-shirt by her best friend Madison with a phrase meaning comfort, wears it to her inquisition. It didn't bother me one bit.
And I will add, Grinder, that you refer to the defendants (appropriately) as "kids" because of their youth and innocence and nativity.
Go Amanda! And Raffaele!

It is clear that the physical evidence does not support Amanda and Raffaele being involved in the murder of Meredeth. Not sure how translating documents will help any court see reason.

Perugia Hates You
This was the actual text before Bill changed it above, I cannot think of a more succinct faceplant for a city so dependent on foreigners for their income from tourism and those studying abroad.
For the record, 'twasn't me who photoshopped it. Apologies, I should have identified it so.
Still, whoever the fellow is who did the original, needs to have some PR advice for the city he loves.
Amanda's own response was a class act.
