I believe you have admitted that the evidence is in Amanda and Raffaele's favor.

Do you think that being quiet would have helped the Norfolk Four?

Look at the timeline here. . . .Amanda's book was published after the Italian Supreme Court overturned the appeal court. They could have simply upheld it and the issue would have quieted down largely by now. Her book would have garnered one tenth the interest that it did.

A lapse into silence is by default, condemnatory.
However, I can't imagine this happening any time soon.

Did you see the reaction that photo generated? She just posted about it on her blog.

That's what she is up against, lest anyone still had doubts.

I'd say that sign photo played out better than she could have hoped in her wildest dreams.

Lionking, you may not understand the meaning of the title of Knox' book. It is Waiting to be heard. It is about people finally hearing her side of the story. Apparently you prefer that she be silent.

Well, the PGPers are defined by their misogyny and they would generally prefer that women remain silent if at all possible.

She stayed silent for a long time. Then she was acquitted. Under normal rules, that would be the end of it and she would be free to write books, grant film rights, do interviews etc. There is no reason why she should let Italy's crazy legal system interfere with its interminable post-acquittal procedures.

An acquittal would just generate more controversy. The Italian authorities probably realize the unwinable situation they are in and want this case to be forgotten too. They could just forget to write the motivations report for the last trial. Without the motivations the ISC cannot finalize the verdict. Until the verdict is final ECHR won't take the case. With nothing hapening the case will slowly be forgotten.

Except there is that one little verdict that was finalized and has already gone to the ECHR... Oops.

If you read between the lines it would appear that she ran away to France and lived and married (?) more than one man that supported her. She seemingly did some translating on a part time basis. Teaching English or translating are the lowest forms of work for an English speaking expat.

Her alleged role in the Massei translation was final review and that clearly wasn't done on a professional level.

Sarah at IA had identified the book in the kitchen as the Italian copy of "harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban". Amanda had purchased this third book in the series on her first visit to Perugia:

The original news that broke the story of the police finding the Harry Potter book in the cottage and apparently quoting police documents said the title of the book seized from Amanda's room was "Harry Potter - und der Orden des Phönix". This would be the 5th book in the series. There is no photograph or any other mention of Amanda buying that book.*

Is this another lie within the lie from the ILE? Or could this be the result of a forged police document being leaked (for a profit) to the hungry news media?? If a list of items seized was drawn up from memory. The bird (a phoenix) on the cover would be the memorable fact.*

Again this would confirm that Italy isn't ruled by conspiracy. They are simply wallowing in greed and corruption.

Totally agree. If I were her I'd be spending my time translating the documents and collaborating with people to make a first class documented movie on the facts of the case.

I'd like to see the police chief's press conference subtitled for example.

I'd show the luminol prints demonstrating that they can't be matched.

Rather than a WTBH story of her experiences I'd do a docudrama of the case.

But someone should be editing her blog and advising what to write and cover.

I know I will be pilloried but that last piece on Raf and his attorneys was badly done, she continues to attempt to write with unnecessary flourish and in my opinion, misuse the language. Before someone else makes the point: I always have people read my public work before it goes out.
 
Amanda Knox replies to some in Perugia who say they hate her. She nails it. If they hate her, then they are not addressing, at all, the case against them through evidence. In fact, this is the chief way Meredith herself is forgotten.

So I take it you don't think there is a multimillion $$ PR campaign. Just people protesting their innocence as best they can.

I will leave that last sentence alone....

Ive had lawyers and they can become very convincing. If they say "oh we have this one! dont worry! this thing is over! you'll win this!" and thats all you hear over years, it has a great effect....until the shock if the verdict is a surprise opposite.

The Kerchers probably the same, Maresca the Manipulator feeding them all the guilt propaganda for years and down playing the defense perspective.
Its very powerful once you drink the kool aid and the loyalty to your lawyer takes effect.

I would imagine the puppet judges too, all look to the Judge for approval.

It would seem the kids never listened to advise when they had options. The PR effort was run while they were in jail and Marriott negotiated the book deal and may still be setting up the big TV interviews.

How much of the book deal went to Marriott will most likely never be known. I doubt that this blog effort is approved by him.

The Amanda fans love what she does. The Amanda haters love what she does. The question is how do these kind of posts impact people in the middle. How does Abrams look at them?

I was not saying that the one stars were accurate just look at how little they actually seem to have with the book.

Many seem to be trying to argue her quilt there while reviews should be about the book.
