Looking for Skeptics

They ask for sound files and when they get them, they vanish. That's a shame.

As some of you may have guessed (and some of you didn't think to keep to yourselves), I was lying a little bit with the sound files I posted earlier. I wanted to test whether they really could hear voices. The first sound file was, as I said, generated white noise. The second was, again as I said, generated white noise with various filters on (a flange, a phaser, and a couple of others I can't remember off the top of my head), enough to create a rhythmic lower end which could sound like some kind of voices.

The third was a lie. It was actually the same generated white noise, only I EQ'd it and added a slight LFO effect to it to make it seem different and live. And, mixed in quietly, was a Buggs Bunny cartoon. I actually went through loads of different iterations of how loudly to mix it in, but I erred on the side of having it loud enough that, if flaccon could really hear voices and what they were saying, then she should be able to hear those voices without problem. It did make it more obvious that there was a real sound source there, but I thought that it was best.

If she ever does come back to this thread, even knowing what the sound actually is, she should still be able to demonstrate the ability to pick out words by saying what some of the dialogue actually is. Because if she can't make out what voices that are really there are saying, how can we believe that she can make out other voices?

Correction (if I may) "possible" explanations. Nothing is set in stone other than the commandments. No of course I can't accept a possible over a reality.

It's out of my hands now anyway (but the truth isn't) Chief reporter and a professional P.I team are dealing with it. The findings will be in the news papers before long. Please deal with the truth when the penny drops, and best of luck with it, sincerely.

Update. Chief reporter is attending here this Friday evening, as the P.I team conduct a thorough investigation. After interviews and evidence, both sides understand that a full investigation is necessary. Apart from a few more miracles that is pointless mentioning, thats about it blue.

Great! Hopefully, the Chief Reporter has already registered with this site. Sometimes it takes a few days for a new registration to be approved.

We all will look forward to a rational conversation with the reporter. Any reason the private investigator will not be joining, as well?

So far the only evidence you have offered for your extraordinary claims are perfectly ordinary examples of audio and visual pareidolia. The chances of them being examples of messages from spirits is zero. It doesn't matter how many gullible people you convince otherwise, they will always be perfectly ordinary examples of pareidolia.

If you have any better evidence by all means present it.

You have no idea how sorry I am to read this. I understand your situation much better than most. My house was built perhaps 90 years ago. I've been told by two different people that my house is haunted. A few weeks ago during a heavy snow my power was off for a couple of hours during the middle of the night. I groped around in the pitch dark before I managed to find a light. Then I got back into bed and turned the light out to save the batteries. My guess is that your PI team would have found a couple dozen ghosts in my house, perhaps more. However, there are no ghosts in my house, not one. And, there is no such thing as a professional PI team. You are kidding yourself. There is no question whether they will screw things up; the only real question is how badly.
