For those who aren't familiar with UKIP loosely they are the UK's equivalent of the Tea Party run through a filter of UK mores so less of the fundamentalist Christianity and second amendment solutions and more of the wogs out. The natural habitat for members of both parties is the 1950s.

The UKIP has done well in recent elections and is having a real impact on Conservative party policy and hence government policy. In the past they have has an issue with senior members who are off message. Godfrey Bloom is a UKIP MEP who famously only seems to open his mouth to put his foot in it.

The UKIP now has more problems. According to this story, their former Commonwealth was the leader of a kidnapping gang in Pakistan.

I would dearly love for UKIP to sink without a trace because they are having a disproportionate impact on government policy and are having a poisonous effect on UK relationships with Europe.

They are mostly known for their anti-EU stance on the mainland.

Some of their speeches get posted around by Euro skeptics here.

I recently saw Mr Blooms speech in the European parliament, in which he said that he would support an uprising in which the people would break down the doors of the European parliament, and would proceed to hang every member.

Whilst sitting in the European parliament.

And now we have a UKIP member of Pakistani descent, with a criminal record who has often spoken out against unchecked immigration.

Does this dude own a mirror?

Yep, the immigration spokeman ED referred to (who's also a Bilderberg CTer), the councillor who blamed flooding on gay marriage and of course Godfrey Bloom (he of "bongo-bongo land" infamy).
Oddly I agree with David Cameron, who called UKIP a bunch of "fruitcakes, loonies and closet racists".

Geoffrey Godfrey Bloom is brilliant. If anyone ever wanted to create a parody figure of a UKIP politician he killed those plans stone dead by ramping up the parody to 11.

So the UKIP is as good in vetting their politicians as Wilders is? ;)

I think they are doing a surprisingly good job for a bunch of unemployable ex-criminals with IQ's in the low eighties.

Putting your foot in your mouth is hardly a crime, isn't it? As one comedian put it in a sketch, it seems to be a requisite for PVV politicians to have a criminal record. Here's an overview (in Dutch) with scandals surrounding 7 of the 24 MPs that were elected in 2010, and 3 more who gave up their candidacy. To pick a couple:
- Hero Brinkman got drunk and attacked the barman in the club next to parliament
- James Sharpe ran a porn company in Hungary and was fined for misleading customers
- Eric Lucassen terrorized his neighbors for years and was also convicted for sleeping with an underage student while he was an army officer
- Gidi Markuszower was convicted for illegally carrying a firearm, and he also was a Mossad spy.
