Senator McCain is officially not conservative enough

NOuHq4c.jpg
I can't stop giggling at this photo.
For us slow kids in the class, does someone mind explaining the context of that one?

If you like your healthcare plan .... period. Like that you mean?

Yeah, like that, if you like changing topics midstream. But, back to McCain, how does his vote for Medicare Part D, Bush's legislation that 44 out of 49 Senate Republicans voted for, make him a RINO? How does support unfunded programs, like Bush's Iraq/Afghanistan wars, supported by 99% of Republicans in Congress, make him a RINO?

As far as I've been able to tell McCain's RINO credentials are mostly due to his informed and nuanced position on immigration reform and his willingness to occasionally negotiate with Democrats in order to actually get things done rather than sitting in the middle of Congress having an ideologically-pure toddler-tantrum as the Tea Party wants.

I attribute it to the latter....

The question is asking for the context in which the photo was taken, not its relevance to the topic. What were circumstances of that photo? What event was it? What gesture was he attempting to make, if any? What is that decor and does it have some meaning to the event happening there?

That lightning art is very dramatic, especially with what appears to be a mid gesture movement. The picture appears to be saying something but it is stripped of all context.

So they're blasting the Maverick. For being a maverick. What made him electable is now making him uncool with his party.
You won't have John McCain to kick around anymore!

I can't tell you what event it was, but I gave you the name and the party of the guy so there was enough context to find out that the appearance of the image is not misleading. I guess it was an event in similar vein to this one his party organized recently.

The talk about McCain seems like simple misdirection. The rest of the Arizona delegation is complete poo.

Seriously, AlBell, if Joe represents good conservative values then you guys are in very deep Bandini.

Well, if by "good" you mean "insane" and by conservative, you mean "racist" AlBell might be on to something.

That's what Hitler said.
And Hitler was baptized Catholic, as was Pope Francis I. Therefore, Pope Francis I is as bad as Hitler, who is apparently as bad as Virus ... I think.

Back to John McCain: not Hitler, not the Pope, and not Catholic (born and raised Episcopalian, now is a Baptist of some flavor).

He never ran on the "I am the one true conservative" platform, so one should probably not be surprised that folks at the far right end of that platform are going to have their problems with him. ApolloGnomon seems to have figured it out.
