Biebs Arrested In Florida!!!

He's heading down the same path Lindsey Lohan took. Fortunately, Lohan seems to be getting her act together. I saw a recent picture and she actually looked healthy.

I haven't read any of the articles on this but I saw a headline that bail was set at $2500.

Why bother setting bail at all? I thought the point of bail was incentive to show up in court, do they really think $2500 is incentive to someone who drives a $200,000 car?

That's great but it's a sample size of 3.

But according to one study, 40% of white men and 50% of black men get arrested by the age of 23...young people, especially men, do a lot of dumb things.

I never said they didn't. I said they didn't have an excuse. The fact that other people act like idiots in no way grants you the right to do so. It is entirely possible to go through life without getting arrested. It's also possible to go through life without comitting an immoral act (not necessarily the same thing).

And I never said I didn't do dumb things. I still do dumb things. I've got my share of battle scars to prove it, too. But there's a difference between "doing something dumb" and "$20,000 worth of damage". A miscalculation during a construction project that ends with you getting six stitches is dumb. A broken bone due to a sports injury is doing something dumb. A three-day hangover is doing something dumb. Wanton vandalism and intentionally closing public thoroughfares sort of exceeds the threshold for "dumb things" in my opinion.

Re: Lohan

I don't see anything so destructive. He is just a "bad boy" in his own mind.

It's also proportional to the offense. And with all the paparazzi that follows him around it wouldn't be hard to know where he is at any given time. A bigger incentive to show is that being a Canadian, he risks deportation if he doesn't show. If he flees the country, is that such a bad thing?

Thing is, he's a twig. He's pretending to be Steve Austin when in reality he's Steve Urkel.

Because he doesn't go anywhere without his army of body guards and lackeys (a good chunk of whom hate him). Any attempt to get near the little snot will be deflected by a wall of large humans.

At this stage, he's just being a jerk, like most kids his age go through jerkville.
He'll grow out of it. And maybe have an adult career when he's thoroughly destroyed his kid-friendly image.
And hopefully his adult career will be something worthy, such as construction, or anything he might actually have some talent at. Hey, he can pay for his own college tuition now - The money he dropped with his one night at the strip club could have paid for his first year at an Ivy League School!!!

As for jail time, the drag racing certainly warrants it. As I heard it (on the way into work; the radio show I listen to was giddy over his arrest) some of his friends shut down streets so they could do it, which is pretty illegal. The problem is, I don't see this doing any good. The kid's a wanna-be gangster, and sending him to jail will only feed the delusion. Community service would be just as bad--it's publicity, and wanna-bes feed off that.

Including his father according to a report. Way to go pops.

According to the police report he was doing 55mph drag racing a lambo against either a ferrari or another Lambo. Drag racing at 55mph! IN A LAMBO! Well now we have found something else he sucks at.

For Canada it is a bad thing. They have been quite successful at exporting celebrities with huge egos to the US. I don't think they want him back.

Frankly, If Bieber gets stoned in the privacy of his own home that is his business;when he gets drunk ,goes out driving and endangers other people then it become's the public's business.
I think his bubble has burst...which might be why the crazy behavior.
