Illuminator
Hubbard approved of and was interested in assisting the South African government with their plans for Apartheid in South Africa.
The apartheid government, didn't particularly like the kooky Hubbard, most especially since he wasn't Christian. Hubbard felt that the ruling Nationalist party was supportive of him and dismissive of psychiatry. He later turned against the South African government, not because of Apartheid, but their alleged use of Psychiatry.
What do you think the impact on South Africa today would have been, had Verwoerdt and his successors played ball with Hubbard and cooperated extensively with him?
Do you think Hubbard would have been swayed enough to incorporate aspects of Christianity into Scientology to appease the conservative christian government? Do you think Hubbard had dreams of having Scientology installed as the state religion?
Any other discussion re:Scientology/Apartheid South Africa is welcome
