Okay, fair enough.
I'll agree about the carpenter thing, as it is so entrenched in our culture. I don't agree to let slip the Nazareth thing. First of all, Sepphoris is still another town than Nazareth. But more importantly, Antipas didn't hold his court there at the time. After he constructed Tiberias before 26AD, on the shores of the See of Galilee, he moved his court there:
As noted before, the lower bound for his marriage with Herodias is 27AD, so his court already had moved by the time he married her.
So, amending my earlier list, we now have:
(1) As before.
(2) Antipas' court was not in Nazareth, nor even near Nazareth.
(3) Amended as minor quibble.
(4) As before.
(5) So the five younger children were Malthace's. No such children are attested. Her oldest child was Archelaus, who became ethnarch of Judaea, and was deposed by the Romans after the Jews sent two delegations to Rome to request for his deposing as he was such an atrocious ruler. She only had only one younger child than Antipas, viz. Olympias. Even if there were, they would be 30-40 years old and would be able to come and go were they wanted.
(6) Deleted.
(7) Deleted.
(8) It's still a bit unclear to me what Salome's role in this is. She was also in danger of being murdered by Herod Antipas? Anyway, there's no evidence at all that Salome left Antipas' court, nor that she "betrayed Mary". As we all know, Mary had a bit of an unnatural ending of her life, but not by being murdered by a wannabe king.![]()
Well, the seven errors I had in mind were:
(1) idem
(2) Antipas' court near Nazareth time intersection with Antipas' married with Herodias equals empty set
(4) idem
(5) along the same lines
(8) a young Salome and Mary the maid of Herodias is another imposibility.
(9) the plot of Malthace's children dissapearing like characters in And Then There Were None is quite ridiculous
(10) the dogs' behavioural changes once they had been fed the corpses of people they'd lived with is a loose variable in the story (most of all if they are the same dogs supposedly used in perverted sexual acts)
Anyway, I don't know if it is a Poe, but the link I provided in post #139 contains this text following the one I had transcribed:
So, if it seemed to be The White Queen on acid, now it evokes Game of Thrones. This was the household Joseph and Mary lived in and raised their own six children, three sons and three daughters. Jesus, as an adult, his ministry established, felt confident enough to address the issue of the skeletons in the closet. This set off a new round of killings. Joseph died by falling, Mary poisoned, Jesus crucified, his siblings scattered. When finally the Romans initiated an investigation into the restlessness in the territories and Pilate’s handling of Jesus, specifically, a new round of cover-up and killings began.
