I found a screencap of an imageboard post in which somebody makes a fairly specific prediction on June 21, 2013. He or she claims to have documents that talk about a false flag operation, planned to happen on September 06, 2013 in Saginaw, Michigan. It's supposedly to be followed by a media circus of propaganda and the eventual declaration of martial law and taking away of guns due to racial civil unrest caused by that propaganda.

Unfortunately, this is the only screencap that was posted, so it's unknown whether the original poster posted any evidence or not.

If you want, I'm sure someone can also provide you with a screencap of an image board post showing you winning the lottery next Friday, and then marrying a Kardashian.

Well, that's the wonderful thing about posting such a specific prediction (Time, place, nature of shooter, nature of targets, even down to the number of people shot). We don't need any "evidence", we can just wait to see if it happens.

Of course, when it doesn't happen (which is the option I'm willing to bet money on), we can use this fact as evidence that the original poster was full of ****. Although we don't expect the Usual Suspects will ever admit that.

... thwarted the dastardly conspirators by heroically publicizing their plans ahead of time.

I'm sure that's what you meant to say.

I live near Saginaw. You've just described the start of a typical weekend.

Well, when it doesn't happen, they'll claim that their brave exposè caused the NWO to change their nefarious plans. You can have it both ways in CT land.

I worry that one of these times the person who posts the warning actually carries out such an attack...

+1. I've got a friend who's an ardent conspiracy theorist who has, in the past, made some quite specific predictions about things.

When they fail to eventuate, rather than actually re-assessing whether he is correct in his thinking or not, he simply comes up with an excuse as to why the plot didn't pan out - the "powers-that-be" had an argument amongst themselves that disrupted their plans, or the triads and yakuza that the powers that be had employed to spread a manufactured disease pulled out of the plan, or too many people publicised the plan on the internet so it was delayed etc etc etc.

Then, of course, rather than answering questions about things, he proceeds to make more predictions, which again don't pan out, so he makes excuses, and then makes more predictions and so on and on and on...

Yup. That's the exact tack they took after the London Olympics.

Such is the power they wield. :boggled:

More shots on goal. Eventually, one will go in and its "See!".

I wonder how long wollclark will stick around this time. Max would be 4 days I suspect ;)

I didn't say whether it would happen or not, I was simply posting it to see what if.
To see what if what?

What if the majority of posters on this sceptics board think it's the delusions of a disturbed mind? (yes)

What if it happens? (almost certainly no)

Now, consider whether this person is telling the truth. If they really had documentation showing that many tragedies of the past were planned in advance, and that another one is planned in such detail, what would be their best way of getting the word out?

Would it be posting on an obscure part of the internet and hoping that someone spread a screencap to a sceptics' site? Or would it make more sense to take, email or send the documents to any one of a number of reputable news organisations outside the USA, who could investigate and publicise such a thing? Ask yourself why this person does the first option, but ignores the second one which would actually help to save lives if s/he were telling the truth.

So a man is going to go into a nursing home where some school children are singing and shoot 13 people, after which it will be called a "bombing"? I'm so confused.
