The late Ivan Marx was an interesting character and a Bigfoot believer who claimed to have filmed them in the wild.
Modern Bigfoot believers generally regard his films as hoaxes using human actors in costumes. But there doesn't seem to have been any legitimate proof presented that these are hoaxes. They just look fake so they are fake.
But the question for Bigfooters then becomes "well how to you know it's fake?" and "is it always necessary to prove that something is fake in order to declare it fake?"
There may be a double-standard for evaluating purported Bigfoot films. The Bigfooters look at and describe the Marx films the same way that any Bigfoot skeptic would. But then when they look at the Patterson-Gimlin Film they immediately insist that you can't just call it a fake because it looks fake to you.
To further complicate things Marx's widow Peggy still insists that the films are real and not hoaxes. Why won't she confess, and what does that say about Bigfoot hoaxers?
To start here is a fun YouTube compilation called Ivan Marx/Tom Biscardi - Hilariously Fake Bigfoot Video Compilation .
It should be easy to prove they are fake right? It's never been done. Maybe Bill Munns should work on it instead of what he is doing now.
Can you prove that a filmed person-in-a-suit is a person-in-a-suit instead of a creature that has never been confirmed or described by science?
