How can Sweden fairly prosecute Assange when they don't prosecute GW Bush?

Sure.
They can wait Assange go out of the Embassy and accuse of a crime one second later.

Outside of theatrics for the dramatic why would they try this?

I mean he broke no laws that I can think of. And I think Assange is a narcissistic douchebag.

Please believe that the US Government is playing fair. Obama is soooo cute !

With Assange they are playing fair. He seems to have broke no laws so they are reduced to merely saying they don't like him.

He even wrote very good books.
Maybe you bought one ? :D

 Obama or Assange?

Still many people in the US support the idea that Snowden is a criminal, not a patriot.

Whether he is a patriot or not depends largely on that persons personal viewpoints. But he definitely broke the law. Which isn't to say that I'm in favor of aggressively pursuing him but he did break the law.

What a surprise!
They believe what Obama told them that Snowden is a criminal.
Another what a surprise!

Um, laws are written down. Obama doesn't just get to tell us that something is illegal and we take his word on it.

People blindly believe what their Governments tell them.
It is a fact.

I know no one that blindly believes whatever their government tells them. I take it you do since you claim this is a fact.

You also believe many things I believe are blatantly immoral
So I guess we do not have much ground in common ..

So , still no evidence that the US wants to extradite Assange from Sweden. Charges were brought against Snowden within two weeks.

You know what would be really funny? (funny in the sense of amusing, not highly unlikely)

Snowden seeks and is granted political asylum from the government of Sweden.

They would be doing it as part of an American plot to lure Assange out of the embassy, I'm sure.

Japanese people? Absolutely.
They suck all the lies their Government tell them.
Even more than American people.
Completely agree with you!

So then how do we know you're not the one fed nonsense? With no evidence, there is no verification. With no verification, one's opinion is not worth much.

Evidence? Plenty.
If you want to see it.

Then if you want to believe in fairy tales and in the goodness of the US Government (and the Iranian, Japanese, etc,) I wont stop you.

That is a different issue than Assange and more comparable to Manning, lesson, if y sign oaths to work with secret material and then release it, you will be charged with a crime.

That is the way the law works.

And yet you ignore the fact that the US has brought charges against Snowden, so he faces extradition, Assange has not been charged in the US so he does not face extradition to the US from Sweden.
