Wrong. I compared his case to Assange's case and noted how dissimilar they are, while killing argument about USA influence on Assange's case.

Since the cases are dissimilar, then Assange is not politically prosecuted.. interesting logic!

It's simple logic. If USA are interested, then they file extradition request. No matter where they are. (There are not that many countries which wouldn't hand over such people...) Or try any other available means to get him. (You might want to take a look at Israel's agents vs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eichman#Capture_in_Argentina )

Since USA aren't interested in Assange there is no reason to even try to influence anybody in Sweden (be it politicians or judges)

One is wanted leaker one is forgotten publisher. (Anybody can be publisher, what is the point in eliminating one)

Otherwise you need to show that USA are interested in him .So far you didn't show anything...

If the US government has a lawyer on strength to get Assange he better do something to earn his/her pay - say filing charges in a US court so that the US can seek extradition from Equador (whose territory he is presently in).
