General Holocaust Denial Discussion Part II

Simon it is well documented how the selektions operated no amount of nit picking is going to change that, or the mountains of evidence the holocaust took place, the deniers argument is paper thin and limited to points of detail that in now way what so ever undermine the fact that the Nazis murdered millions either by shooting, gassing or working them to death.
 
AFAIK David Cole never denied the Holocaust but had issues regarding "homicidal" gas chambers in Auschwitz, Dachau, Majdanek and Stutthof.

One twin is selected as able to work, the other isn't. I think a cook was selecting alright. But don't worry, despite her telling nonsense she will get part of that 1 billion the gullible Germans are willing to give to just about anyone claiming to be a victim.

That is a rather large part of the Holocaust.

Did he believe in gas chambers at Treblinka, Belzec and Sobibor?

So one in six among those who were killed were killed in the gas chambers. Quote a significant number in my opinion. Now, how many were killed:
  1. by summary executions
  2. on the cattle cars to the camps
  3. by being worked to death
  4. by being starved to death
  5. through innovative torture methods
  6. as a result of horrendous "scientific experiments"
  7. forced marches
How does the 1,000,000 compare with those numbers?

Holocaust denialists make me sick.
 
There is no fixed mathematical definition of what makes up "a large part". However:

Holocaust denial is the act of denying the genocide of Jews in the Holocaust during World War II.[1] The key claims of Holocaust denial are: the German Nazi government had no official policy or intention of exterminating Jews, Nazi authorities did not use extermination camps and gas chambers to mass murder Jews, and the actual number of Jews killed was significantly (typically an order of magnitude) lower than the historically accepted figure of 5 to 6 million.[2][3][4]

1/6 lower is quite a bit different than 10 times lower. Also note on David Cole:

1. I don't think he denied that the German Nazi government had an official policy or intention of exterminating Jews
2. I don't think he denied Nazi authorities used extermination camps, I'm yet to read anything from his part on Treblinka, Belzec and Sobibor.

Sure. One million people is hardly insignificant.

Why don't you give the figures you believe split up along 1. to 7. first, properly sourced, since I didn't make any claims regarding 1. to 7. split up?

As to how the total of 1. to 7. compares to the 1,000,000 claimed, probably around one quarter, or 250.000.

Anyway, this thread is just gonna end up in the General Holocaust Denial thread (although it did not yet in a previous moderation action and no one has denied anything yet, the only thing that has changed is me discussing the topic), yet pointing out what is obvious to everyone seems to warrant a yellow card. :rolleyes:

Ok, did some preliminary research and got partial numbers

1.3 Million by summary machine gunning executions
800,000 by starvation and ghettoization
3000,000 at concentration camps

Of that lot atleast 1,000,000 were murdered using gas the gas chamber leaving 2,000,000 who were killed as a result of the options in the list i provided. In this situations a LARGE part of the killings was meted out through the gas chambers.
You want anything more, do the research yourself.
 
I'm sorry, I thought you meant 1. to 7. at Auschwitz specifically. This is about David Cole and whatever he researched/believed or researches/believes. For general Holocaust discussion, there is the All Things Directly and Vaguely Holocaust Related Thread.

It started out about David Cole but it's taken a turn towards defending the proposition that 1/6 is not the whole thing nor is it even a "significant" part of the whole thing.

A bad day for skeptical thinking. But it's great news for members of Congress who were dismayed to read that "....Gallup currently pegs Congress' approval rating at 16 percent..." 16% means that EVERYBODY, or at least a significant percentage of everybody loves Congress.:)

You do know that not all twins are identical, or even of the same sex? Even if they were identical, there's no guarantee that they were equally healthy.
