Continuation Part 5: Discussion of the Amanda Knox/Raffaele Sollecito case

Please ignore me. You've been playing moderator on here since I've been here but you never say anything that is intelligent. I'm a mechanical engineer and I know that I hold my own against some guy who is basically repeating Knox's dumb lies. you love describing yourself as The Guardian of Science but you want Knox to get out of her jam even if defies all logic and science to believe she's innocent.

It has always cracked me up that they fabricated so little evidence against Amanda and Raffaele, thinking the crazy double-DNA knife and the movie star bra clasp were enough, when they could have concocted so much more! I would say it is a testament to their arrogance and conceit that they believed they could get away with one highly questionable piece of evidence against each defendant, except for the fact that those highly questionable pieces of evidence actually were convincing to the mob.

did they fabricate her utter lack of an alibi. what about Knox's lamp in the victim's bedroom on the floor. did they fabricate her confession? what about her curious call to mommy the night of the murder despite no history of doing that, that she, conveniently doesn't remember despite the fact she must have had a special reason for doing it? did they fabricate the fact she had some kind of weird panic attack that included hitting her head when she was shown knives in a drawer at the cottage? did they fabricate the fact that she claimed to be in a state of panic about Meredith but her cell phone records and her attitude at the cottage as witnessed by others don't support that? Did they fabricate the her dna being mixed with victim's blood/dna in the other roommate's bedroom with the broken window where neither knox or the victim should have been while one or both of them was bleeding?

I thought you were ignoring me. Why don't they make you the moderator here, you've been lobbying hard for it. that way, if somebody doesn't believe Knox is innocent, you can ban them. you seem to believe that should be a rule.

I don't click on random links provided on the internet, especially if there is no heads up as to what I am clicking on.

You describe a "perfect storm", poor interrogation work with Napoleani and Rita, they bring in Migninni who can jump into his Satanic Cult mode with the Halloween and a American, to Edgardo's input shown in his video on Speed-Reading Facial expressions...

The earliest part of the "storm" beginning, is still mesmerizing. Its why I like Candace's book as it was the earliest and had more details, for example the family, AnnaMarie, measuring the circles of Raffales shoeprints with a compass, and performing better detective work than apparently some who do it for a living.

Edgardo Giobbis video you linked too, still shocks me today watching it, and hes from the Serious Crime Squad from Rome, a higher authority, using a superstitious/magic approach to solving murders, so strange, yes? But in a bizzare way theres a truthfulness to Giobbi, in that he truly believes in his skill of solving murders quickly, without other science.
wow?:eye-poppi

What's even more incredible to me is how in retrospect you can look back and see how they had essentially everything wrong in the arrests, how every piece of 'evidence' they said they had disappeared, was misinterpreted or stank to high heaven and how people can think the unlikeliest of couples could still be involved in what was clearly a burglar getting surprised in the act.

A 'staged break-in' when they know they had the first arrests wrong and then they catch a known burglar? :eye-poppi

did they fabricate her utter lack of an alibi.

They created it.

what about Knox's lamp in the victim's bedroom on the floor.

What about it? If the police thought it was evidence why didn't they test it?

did they fabricate her confession?

That was abuse, emotional and mental. Call it gaslighting. What is she supposed to think when the police tell her they have hard evidence she was there and that Raffaele has said she wasn't at home? A few hours of that in the context of 53 of 89 hours with police when they are insistent and people can come to believe it, even if just for a little while.

what about her curious call to mommy the night of the murder despite no history of doing that, that she, conveniently doesn't remember despite the fact she must have had a special reason for doing it?

Tesla, this is stupid. She called her Mommy after she'd knew her door was open and had seen drops of blood and wasn't sure what to think. She didn't remember that specific call a while later because she made a plethora of calls and more to her mother.

did they fabricate the fact she had some kind of weird panic attack that included hitting her head when she was shown knives in a drawer at the cottage?

Where did you get that description of it?

did they fabricate the fact that she claimed to be in a state of panic but her cell phone records and her attitude at the cottage as witnessed by others don't support that?

Huh? She called a bunch of people, dragged Raffaele back and called the police, maybe by the time everyone else was there she'd done the worst of her 'panicking' and was then kind of in shock.

Did they fabricate the her dna being mixed with victim's blood/dna in the other roommate's bedroom with the broken window where neither knox or the victim should have been while one or both of them was bleeding?

Since we know it wasn't blood because it tested negative with TMB and they tried to hide that, what makes you think it had anything to do with the murder being on the other side of the house with absolutely nothing connecting it?

This is all manufactured evidence.

Annella posted at IIP this interesting interview with John Douglas, containing this quote:

Did they have negroid hairs at the crime scene?

Having looked at this closely, I came to the tenuous conclusion they thought they did at least, ~November 10th the big story was they were testing hairs thought to be the murderer, whom at that time included Patrick. If they'd seen them at the scene before testing they may well have jumped to the conclusion they were a black man's hair, though they might have actually been fibers.

Alibi...Knox had the exact same alibi that Filomena Romanelli did.

that can't be true, if she did then it would have never gone to trial. they didn't prosecutre Filo for murder. You could argue Knox had the same type of alibi, that is, she was with her boyfriend somewhere, but there must have been something else corroborating that Filo, and her boyfriend, were where they claimed they were. Neither Knox or Raffe ever had anything corroborate they were at their house, which is most unlucky if they are innocent.

RS never changed his story. The police asked him how he could be certain what Knox did while he was sleeping. He rather flip
answered that he could not be sure.
The trouble with accepting this as a "breaking of the alibi" takes a rather simple minded person to not see past the rather plain attempt to get something...anything to start applying pressure.

Knox herself said Raffe broke her alibi, and in recent interviews promoting her book no less. In her written declaration, she talks about Raffe breaking her alibi and how she couldn't understand why he would do it. clearly it was on her mind. raffe told them that Knox had told him to tell them a "pack of lies" and he had not thought about "all the inconsistencies" and that she had left to go somewhere, I forget the exact timeframe he gave the police but I believe he said b/t 10 to 1 am, Knox was not at his house. he may have modified his statement on Knox at the start of the Hellmann appeals trial to say he could not remember if she was there or not, but he did without a doubt break her alibi at the police station that night.

The point getting back to the false claim that the BF stopped backing her alibi is that it was a simple police trick added to the fact that the police illegally questioned the suspect without his attorney present. Had the required attorney been present during this trick question I am sure he would have reminded RS about Knox not having a key or that he was a light sleeper and would awake the moment Knox moved...see how that works when the laws are followed?

he knew he was going to be questioned by the police when he went to the station that night. Could he not have brought a lawyer with him? How is a trick question to confront him with his cell phone history and ask him a legit question about inconsistencies? He was real quick to break Knox's alibi, which is a big sign of guilt. if they were together that night at his home and he knew he wasn't involved a murder, why would he do this? there's only one answer and there is no doubt about it.

"She was not forced to write this declaration". I agree. The police wrote it. Knox was incapable of writing a declaration in a language she was just learning. Next illogical point please?

the police would be incapable of writing something so dumb and longwinded. Knox clearly wrote it, and she never denied writing it. I think that she probably wrote it English and they just had somebody translated it to Italian. You guys keep blaming the foreign language thing everytime you get into a logical corner and need a lifeline to get out.

I dont care if AK and RS did it. The corrupt lies and tricks pulled by police and prosecutor in this case are enough to make a finding of not guilty.

I know you don't care if they did it. if you did, even if the prosecuter and police were being mean to them, you'd care more about the fact they butchered this young woman.

Mignini had 18 family members arrested and charged and put thru a legal nightmare in the Narducci case....the judge was forced to write a 1000 plus page motivation report as to why he found them all innocent. And guess who wants to appeal? All based on the fact that a dead mans pants appeared to not fit him well.

Mignini charged 20 people but they were not all family members. Mignini has been given the green light to pursue the Narducci case again. Pointing out that a judge (Micheli, by the way, which is interesting) ruled one way on that case is ok but the case isn't dead yet, it's a process. the body swap thing is interesting, it appears the body in the coffin when it was exhumed was much different from the one put in in terms of hair on his head, waist size, and the fact the body was not bloated you would suspect since he was original found on a lake. this body also appears to have a broken neck consistent with strangulation, which supported Mignini's theory he was murdered. what is mingini supposed to conclude if the body in the coffin doesn't match the one that was placed in it a long time ago, if not a body swap? your problem is all you know about this case and Mignini comes straight from Doug Preston who has a beef with Mingini over the MOF case plus looking to use the Knox case publicity to get some publicity for his MOF book. Mignini never consulted Carilizzi, the psychic, about anything, he had actually sued her for defamation in the past, and they didn't like each other. Mignin never talked about Satantic rites in the Narducci case, it was about investigating the body of the doctor to see if he was murdered, nothing else. he didn't talk about satanic rites in the Knox case as well, and you can't provide one quote in which he does. if that was his motive theory you should be able to quote him talking about it.

is there an easy way to quote specific statements by somebody in a piecemeal way like I tried in my previous post. that was real tedious.

sorry dude, she exhibited no evidence of panic over Meridith. she didn't ring her phones very long, only tried them once, never even called the other, this was shown by the cell phone records. contrast this with her roommate Filo who rang Meridith a million times b/c she was really in state of panic.

Knox never showed interest in meridith's locked bedroom door when the postal police and others arrived....she even told them Meredith locked her door all the time which seems to be an attempt to delay discovery of the boyd, and both she and Raffe stayed far away when they busted down the door. they also claimed that they tried to break down the door themselves but Raffe, a kickboxer, was not able to do it, but the guy who did was able to do it no problem. if you are in a state of panic over your roommate, don't you find a wway to bust down a bedroom door?

also keep in mind by Knox's own account, she returned to the cottage, saw the front door wide open, blood in the bathroom, and after her shower, she noticed feces in the other bathroom. she noticed Meredith's door was locked. I don't think that she made any call to Meredith's phone until closer to noon, when she already returned to Raffe's house (as she claims, anyway). So she says she is a state of panic over Meredith, but she waits until she gets back to his house to call one of her phones? Hmmmmmmmmm

she clearly did not act like she was in a state of panic over Meredith but that's what she wants everybody to think, after the fact. why would you want people to think you were in a state of panic if you were not in fact in a state of panic over your roommate's locked bedroom door?

Filo demonstrated state of panic and her behavior is in sharp contrast with Knox, who makes a big deal about being a state of panic but doesn't seem to be. you are back at the point where you have to say Knox is weird but she's not guilty of murder.

This is interesting. Is there a source? I know there were early reports they were looking for an African but I thought that was to do with the guy washing blood off himself in the fountain (:boggled: btw. I can exclusively reveal he was the same guy who phoned through the warning: Meredith dies tonight - but that was a totally unrelated case which needn't detain us).

If there were negroid hairs, and the implication of Douglas's interview is they had these before the interrogations, it would explain a great deal. It would give the cops a very pleasing, tightly-wound crime theory. Given the burglary was faked and there were no signs of a struggle anywhere but in the bedroom they would be looking for an insider and/or a male person known to the victim who was black. The only black guy in the picture was Lumumba and they have this exchange of texts at the right time of the night.

They wrote precisely this theory down in the 1.45 'confession' but realised in the small hours the theory was not perfect and modified it mainly to get Raffaele in the picture but also to rectify her account of the exchange of texts to make it look more like Lumumba was setting up a meeting.

Those negroid hairs are important. What's the story? John Douglas has seen something we haven't.

don't ever use the expression negroid if you come to the States. you would viewed as a racist if you lived here and said something like this. i'm not saying you are but surprised anybody would use language like this in the modern era. republicans in Alabama like me speak this way using a series of dog whistles that liberals like Chris Matthews are able to decipher despite not being dogs or even our intended audience which seems to defeat the purpose of the dog whistle, but the key is not to say it out loud.

I joke a lot about the race aspect of this case but if Knox had done this murder in America, and she falsely accused her innocent black boss, then another black guy was the fall guy while she and another rich white boy were still free, there's just no way the public would believe she was innocent. that's one of funniest aspects of this case to me because there seem to be a lot of these liberals, who tend to be very concerned with racial politics, who think Knox is innocent but they wouldn't if only due to the racial aspects of the case if this murder went down here.

really the best way for us Guilter's to counter her family's very good PR effort for her here in America is to play up the race angle in this case. as a conservative in the era of Obama, I never thought that I would be advocating FOR the use of the race card but sometimes you got to do what you got to do in the name of justice. :)

i never claimed she never called Meredith's phone and this isn't a detailed analysif of her calls to Meredith's phones. it was actually Filo who told her to call Meredith on one occasion, so even in her state of panic she still needs Filo, who nobody doubts was in a state of panic, to tell her to do the obvious, call Meredith's phones.

I'm going to have to dig up a detailed analysis of her phone calls to Meredith's phones.....this really is damaging to her case she is innocent but you don't see it talked about it much b/c it requires a lot more explanation than some of the other evidence.

They go back to the very beginning! If you're really interested, there was a well linked discussion when I got into this with Travis Bickle Lofter on the Wired New York site.

the massei report talks about this lack of interest by Knox in Meredith's locked bedroom door which conflicts with attempts to claim a state of panic about Meredith over the locked bedroom:

Romanelli, her friend Paola Grande and their boyfriends, Marco Zaroli and Luca Altieri arrived around 1pm.[28] Romanelli made a quick check of her room, discovering that, although it was in a complete mess with the windowpane broken and clothes thrown around the floor, nothing was missing.[31] Nonetheless, she was concerned that the front door had been found open, bloodstains had been found in the small bathroom, and there was no news of Meredith. Furthermore, Meredith’s bedroom door was locked.[31]

The significance of this fact subsequently became a point of disagreement, with Knox saying that even when she went to the bathroom for a shower Meredith always locked the door to her room (the fact that she said this being confirmed by Zaroli and Altieri). Romanelli, on the other hand, said she was aware of only one occasion when the door had been locked and this was when Meredith had returned to England for a few days.[31]

The Massei report notes Knox’s apparent lack of concern at the locked door, both in the presence of the Communications Police and in her earlier telephone conversation with Romanelli. This was at odds with an email that Knox sent to her friends and family a few days after the murder (November 4, 2007) in which the locked door acquired a central importance and Knox described herself as “panicking” when she first discovered it. Massei concludes that panic at the locked door would be a logical reaction if Knox had been uninvolved in the murder, but according to Romanelli and the Communications Police, there was no such panic.

Knox and Sollecito, in fact remained in the living room, some distance away from Meredith’s room, while Romanelli and her friends were so concerned that they decided to force the door open. One of Romanelli’s friends broke down the door and the bloody body of Meredith Kercher was found.[32] The Communications Police sealed the area and called the Carabinieri, who arrived a short time later.[33]

They were all the victims of the police in Perugia and Mignini, if there's racists it's them.

You're getting played, I don't suppose you ever took into account that the 'PR effort' might have attracted so many people because they were actually right? Dude, no one's getting paid here, get it? All those FBI agents, scientists, journalists, writers, lawyers and the such freely give their time and talents because this is a gross injustice and a engrossing case and story.

Almost everything TJMK puts out is twisted or untrue, place creeps me the hell out. That's not a healthy environment. Haven't you noticed when you rely on them for information your posts get sillier and easier to trash with well supported links and logic? The only one I know stupid and dishonest enough to try to give someone the impression that this case isn't Mignini's baby is Creepy Pete.

Hi Mary, isn't that exactly what the police are supposed to do, once the witness becomes a suspect, stop all questioning and allow the suspect to vat an attorney. Isn't that the reason the first two declarations we not admissible, seems to me the police did exactly what they are suppose to do.......

Yes, and they kept Amanda (and Raff) away from lawyers for another 2 days, and announced at a press conference that it was "case closed" without any further seeking of details from any of them.

So what?

What significance do you think this has even if that's an accurate summation?
