That's also what they did. Rice specifically mentioned that what she was saying was preliminary and subject to change, and that they were waiting for the investigation to be completed before drawing any final conclusions.

Actually, according to people who are first hand eyewitnesses, that is nothing close to true.

Local witnesses in Benghazi were very clear that the attackers specifically mentioned the video as the reasons for why they were attacking.
