Biblical Flood? Fish, squid, and shrimp fossils in the mountains of Lebanon and Peru

Just testing the system, I haven't been able to reply to one of the posts.

I look forward to seeing the insanity defying feats of mental gymnastics and daredevil leaps of logic required to defend this patent baloney.

When you embrace the squid, anything is possible. Land squid excel at gymnastics as well as keyboard based activities. Their dismounts are a little loose, however.

What the OP has failed to realise is that not all squids are aquatic. Land squids could have quite easily been loping around hilltops and peering out of crevices way back when.

Ahem:
There was a great war in the sea and the losers fled to the mountains to survive thus the fossils.

The story was serialized in the Squid Fishing Monthly (telepathic edition).

Oooh, so that's where the Northwest Pacific tree octopus came from!

From the two articles linked in the OP.

First link said:
Twenty-nine-year-old Pierre Abi Saad's job is rocks. At daybreak, he heads off to Hgula in the mountains above Jbeil to look for animals that died 100m years ago.

Second link (apparently translated to English from Portugeuse) said:
It means that the specimen lived there is 85 million of years.

Wow, a flood that lasted 15 million years.

That must have been some ark...

I'm certain Dr Dave has an answer for that!
Or even DOC.
Birds are a problem for creationists! Here's John D Morris PhD explaining away the existence of about six million varves in the Green River Shales, with their abundance of associated fossils.
Even more remarkable are an abundance of bird fossils. In spite of their low density, bird fossils are copiously present here. If these sediments are from the bottom of a calm lake, as required by the standard varve interpretation, how could myriads of bird fossils be present? Bird carcasses don't lie on the bottom of a lake. What happened?
What on earth? Birds don't frequent lakes and often die there? Their carcasses never find their way to the lake bottom? See his fatuous remarks at http://www.icr.org/article/530/. For another, and amusing, take on these shales, see http://atheists.org/content/rock-ages-and-age-rocks which has a paragraph or two on the problems these formations present for creationists.

That was a good read, Craig B.

Still, Doctor Dave does have a whole slew of fascinating articles.
While the Green River Shales one WAS good, I think you'll agree the one about how Noah gathered the animals gives it a run for the money.

Then there's the one about the Columbia River Basalts
"Occurring in layers stratigraphically below the Columbia River Basalts are thick layers of water-deposited, fossil-bearing, sedimentary rock, obviously deposited by the Flood itself. "

Has anyone told him that the Neptunist X Plutonist ended in the XVIII century?
I mean, he's just a bit outdated.
He should read about the works of James Hutton and Nicolas Desmarest, its pretty much new stuff, since its from the late XVIII and early XIX centuries. He will the discover why Puys d’Auvergne in France is called the graveyard of Neptunistic opinions...

It really hard not to conclude YEC are dishonest when debating their beliefs.

Quite possibly. Given the abundance of appendages, it would be natural for them to gravitate towards keyboard-based activities.

When startled squids disappear in a cloud of ink much like some posters do.

Hoo boy! So now we can explain the flood by first reengineering the entire planet crust, then presumably restoring it after 40 days or whatever.:eye-poppi

Are you for real?

BTW, geological engineering is the use of geological knowledge for human engineering purposes, like mining or dams. Its entire premise is based on the science of geology, as defined by geologists, so if you actually have the Phd you claim, or the fruitcake you quote does, then his entire reasoning is based on rejecting everything that the engineering degree was based on. I smell a fraud.

Never underestimate the blinding power of faith, a person may use a fact every day of their life only to discard it when they enter the church door.
