Biblical Flood? Fish, squid, and shrimp fossils in the mountains of Lebanon and Peru

Lets not forget that god created rainbows after this flood as a promise to never kill by global flood again. This implies that somehow light refraction didn't exist prior to the great flood.

DOC's pulling our legs. This one's just too old for anybody not to have already heard the answer to it by now.

Just testing the system, I haven't been able to reply to one of the posts.

Ah, OK. It'll probably take all their combined powers to avoid a human to reply a post...

Wait! No! It will not be enough!

Also, it takes rain to make a rainbow. But god sent rain to assure the bleevers below that there would be no more floods caused by .... rain. Riiiiiight.

There were, of course rainbows before the flud but they had the ends in the sky due to the vapor canopy. :)

The bible talks of a worldwide flood. Could marine fossils found 700 meters above sea level be evidence of that?

From the article: Catching a mermaid in Jbeil
By Lara Khouzami

"Lebanon's three main fish fossil sites, Hgula, Haqil (both in the mountains above Jbeil) and An Nammura are the only ones in the Middle East,"

From Brazil Weird News:

The location of the {shrimp fossil} appears strange for a marine animal ... 700 meters above sea level. But it is not a suprise for the scientists. In the same region were also found fossilized remains of a squid that belongs to the same period.

Don't you have any personal observation on this ignorance?

This PhD in Geological Engineeringhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_D._Morris#cite_note-5 disagrees:

Did Noah's Flood Cover the Himalayan Mountains?

by John D. Morris, Ph.D.

"We now know, of course, that the earth has plenty of water to launch a global flood. It has been calculated that if the earth's surface were completely flat, with no high mountains and no deep ocean basins, that water would cover the earth to a depth of about 8,000 feet."

He later says:

Mt. Everest and the Himalayan range, along with the Alps, the Rockies, the Appalachians, the Andes, and most of the world's other mountains are composed of ocean-bottom sediments, full of marine fossils laid down by the Flood. Mt. Everest itself has clam fossils at its summit. These rock layers cover an extensive area, including much of Asia. They give every indication of resulting from cataclysmic water processes...

Hoo boy! So now we can explain the flood by first reengineering the entire planet crust, then presumably restoring it after 40 days or whatever.:eye-poppi

Are you for real?

BTW, geological engineering is the use of geological knowledge for human engineering purposes, like mining or dams. Its entire premise is based on the science of geology, as defined by geologists, so if you actually have the Phd you claim, or the fruitcake you quote does, then his entire reasoning is based on rejecting everything that the engineering degree was based on. I smell a fraud.

What the OP has failed to realise is that not all squids are aquatic. Land squids could have quite easily been loping around hilltops and peering out of crevices way back when.
