Explosion at the Boston Marathon.

Historically that's not how things like this end, but it would help to find a motive, which I'm extremely interested in finding out.
I hope he's taken alive (sounds like he just was), but I wouldn't hold out much hope of hearing a satisfactory motive. The few times I've heard one, it was mundane and crazy.

We heard from Ted K and the Oklahoma City bombers. Might as well not have, IMO.

Boston Police Dept. ‏@Boston_Police now
Suspect in custody. Officers sweeping the area. Stand by for further info.

New Bedford? I lived right next to New Bedford.

If anyone from there is involved, it's got to be either Portugese militants, Azores separatists, or fishermen disgruntled over scallop quotas.

ETA: Damn, now I want a malasada, and I doubt there's one within two hundred miles of here.

I still want to hear it.

Speaking as an analyst, any information that can speak to motive is always helpful to continue building profiles and information on terrorism in its many forms.

BREAKING NEWS: Three people taken into custody in New Bedford as part of Boston Marathon terror bombing investigation.

My daughter reports she apparently knows one of the three, a student at UMass Dartmouth.

O'Reilly and Geraldo are "guaranteeing" he will be executed. I guess he probably will, he killed a kid.

It does seem like this case will require a new chapter in the profiler's handbook.
