Historically that's not how things like this end, but it would help to find a motive, which I'm extremely interested in finding out.

Even before that his gang friends memorialize him in graffiti "RIP (gang name)" amid gang insignia written on a wall at the scene of the killing. And mama still denies it.

Oh yeah.

Running over your older brother with a car is very purposeful.

While I am fairly sure the older brother committing "suicide by cop" was purposeful on his part, I think the younger brother panicked badly and has probably been in a state of panic since.
 
My more jaded self thinks the reason the media will not break away from this, is that they think the guy might be bomb-wired, and will boom live on TV.

I meant the action of the older brother. And if the younger brother knows he's doing it expecting to die and to help him escape, running over him doesn't matter so much.

Though I agree that part was most likely panic.

My friends & I thought the exact same thing about the OJ chase.... only with a pistol & red mist out of the passenger side window.
