Explosion at the Boston Marathon.

CNN is not saying he's down as of yet.

They're reporting police and such are still going in.

Dammit, my power is flickering thanks to a storm in my area; right when it's getting good.

People are rapidly leaving the neighborhood; one police officer carrying a child, possibly hurt, heading for an ambulance.

Oh I hope she's okay...

Anyone able to give a foreigner a tip for an american news outlet that isn't simply speculating and saying nothing worthwhile?

Been watching CNN's broadcasts from time to time during the day, and it's been nothing but BS.

I know what you mean - have BBC or SKY and neither seems to have 'good' contacts. I have been following this thread all day and have probably, aside from certain speculative posts, been better informed, or at least quicker, than via the UK terrestrial channels.

He's supposedly down, medical teams on standby ready to treat as needed.

I switched to Al Jazeera English; tried BBC but couldn't get sound for some reason on their website.

NPR is reporting suspect is down but still alive.
I'm just getting back in this thread so I don't know if it's been reported here, but one of the NPR hosts (Robin Young?) knows this kid, he was friends with her nephew and has been at her house.

Thoughts that they are waiting to move in because they are clearing the area.
