Explosion at the Boston Marathon.

At the press conference going on right now, they're directly and explicitly denying that they have any "suspect" at all, particularly not anyone currently at a Boston hospital, just people that they're talking to in an effort to get all the information they can (ie, the "Saudi national" mentioned by the Post is not a suspect).

EDIT: And the first question is from someone asking if this is a false-flag attack designed to take away our civil liberties.

They're also refusing to comment about the "five devices found" thing.

Did i hear that right? Very first question at the presser was if it was a "another false flag operation ... civil liberties .... blah blah blah"?

Probably the worst picture I've seen so far. If you have a weak stomach don't click!

My heart goes out to the families of everyone injured by this terrible event.

This is another view, and probably even worse. Should probably NOT be viewed by most people. I'm posting the link because the guy in the cowboy hat is a true hero, given what he's doing.

He is Carlos Arredondo, an immigrant from Costa Rica and the guy in the picture in this article (safe to view):

Wow. True definition of a hero!! I'm raising my glass in his honor!!

For those not understanding what he's doing, he's holding a belt or a strap of some sort, which is keeping the man from bleeding out. It's a tourniquet, but appears to be makeshift.

Seems far too incompetent for international terrorists. Not, mind you, that that's a good thing. Duh.

Now I see that it's 141 people injured, and they are pulling ball bearings out of people. So now it's looking more competent, which is even worse.

I thought he was either doing that or... and this is pretty gross... that he actually had hold of an artery in his hands and he was clamping it shut (tough to tell with that much gore). Either way, the man is some kind of amazing... wow.
