Ann Coulter: "Kill Meghan McCain first"

On your first point, I would note that she also told the GOP that they needed to nominate Chris Christie or lose in 2012.

On your second point, well crap. Does it always have to be about looks when we talk about politicos? I don't like it when people criticize Chelsea Clinton for her looks. Anne graduated from Cornell (summa cum laude) and got her JD from the University of Michigan where she was the editor of the Michigan Law Review. Meghan McCain? Graduated from Columbia (no mention of honors). Judging by photos I would say that she does fill out a sweater more than Coulter; I am not sure how that matters.

Education levels don't mean a thing. (m)Ann Coulter may be book smart but she's willing to alienate everyone just to jab at anyone and everyone. When fauxnews turns on someone, that's very telling.

She strikes me as someone who yells at the waitstaff. Which is an instant "fails as a human being" in my book.

And this bit from her op piece two days after 9/11 earns her no points from me (it's th last link in Tricky's OP)...

We should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity.

Ok Ann... that'll do.

Okay, so Hillary's too ugly to be elected dogcatcher. She could run for dog though.

[W]ell crap. Does it always have to be about looks when we talk about politicos? I don't like it when people criticize Chelsea Clinton for her looks.

You should know that someone is posting from your account and making you look like a hypocrite:

(Brainster, I've tried, I've really tried, to read these two comments together, and the intervening comment by KatieG, and I've tried to figure out how the second one is some devastatingly witty employment of irony, or what's going on. I gotta say, I don't see it. It doesn't work as sarcasm. Feel free to explain, obviously.)

First of all.... he knew that, which is why he posted the comments about Hillary's looks. Brainster's not dumb. We know, because his name's Brainster, after all.

Second of all, when a guy's right, a guy's right. It's merely an aside that I'd like a few hours alone with Michelle Malkin to have her convert me to conservatism. "Oooh, convert me... yeah, right there,... ooh, yeah!" Bottom line is that whether she's a school marm or a right wing politico, I think Malkin's hot. But it has nothing to do with whether she's right or wrong. Nor does the fact that Coulter looks like the product of Deep Discount April Specials at Ole's Bait and Tackle and Transgender Surgery on Route 7. Nor the fact that Madeline Allbright would make a great Halloween mask to scare unsuspecting children, nor that Caribou Barbie looks like she belongs in "Librarians Gone Wild", whipping off her glasses and getting nekkid with the varsity football team. No, none of that matters. (Truly - I was just trying to run with a little turgid prose before getting to the main point.)

What matters is that Ann Coulter and Michell Malkin and Sarah Palin are reprehensible people. What they look like has nought to do with it. And if you like Hillary's politics, the fact that she's looking more like a dowdy hausfrau every day shouldn't concern you. If Michelle Bachmann runs against Hillary for the GOP side, would anyone actually vote for Her Royal Ineptness?

I do find it odd that in any thread on Ann Coulter her "attractiveness" somehow always becomes a subject of debate.

I mean what the hell? Isn't there enough to talk about considering the vile things she always says?

Broken clock syndrome.

We never tried to make a sex symbol out of Chelsea. The republicons have tried to sell the Coulter critter as sexiness in the flesh.:dl:

I would like to point out that the OP said nothing about this. Yeah, I know you weren't referring to that, but that was certainly not intended to be the tone of the thread. It was supposed to be only about the stupid (In this case, not really vile so much as snarky) thing she said, and about the McCains' response to it.

From what I've seen, Meghan McCain is an airhead. I'd much rather do coke with Ann Coulter.
I bet that would be fun.

Either that, or Anne is jealous of Meghan's generous curves. At least Meghan doesn't look like a blonde zombie.
...at which point, carlitos, for the eleventy-hundredth time in the JREF USA politics forum, points out that sexist comments are sexist.

A cynic would point out that liberals / Democrats, purported defenders of feminism and equality, should be above sexist comments like these. I suppose it's just human nature. Ms. Coulter has the nerve to be blond and skinny while she says these offensive things, therefore let's attack that.

Anne Coulter makes Howard Stern seem like a sweet grandpa. Okay, I'm exaggerating. Not by much, though.

Of course, she said it was a "joke", but the McCains don't seem to see the humor in it, since, like many public figures, they get death threats regularly.

Does Ann think she's the Jon Stewart of the Right? This isn't the first time she's had to explain how something tremendously unfunny that she's said was supposed to be humorous. From her vicious insults of the wives of 9-11 heroes to her desire to kill or convert all Arabs, she has the worst comedy timing in the entire world. Maybe she should try another occupation.

Her job is to make controversial and over-the-top statements so as to gain attention in the media. She is little more than an attention whore at this point, along with so many other commentators (Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, etc) who make similar crazy comments to get noticed and then complain that they're getting noticed

I actually find her somewhat attractive, from a purely biological standpoint. It might be fun to go on a date with her.

Of course, but Meghan McCain is right when she points out that Coulter is harming the very causes she seems to support. It's taken longer than it should have for conservative folks to start realizing how very nasty, self-serving, and harmful (to conservatives) people like the above mentioned actually are, but it seems that the tide may finally be turning. We can but hope.

The problem with such a disgustingly foul suggestion is not that it is sincere, even though I think at its base it is sincere, given Ann Coulter's other rhetoric.

The problem with such obscene misconduct is when some crazy person takes it as directions.

A pedant would then point out that Darth is not a liberal/Democrat to the best of my knowledge, however Travis, the person bemoaning looks being brought into it, is.
