Merged No Planes At WTC (Split from: WTC Dust)

It wasn't the smell of acetylene.

Like you would recognize it?

You said it was the same smell that came from the building deconstruction as ground zero early on. I think you smelled torches. I don't think you'd still have rotting body fragments lying around 7-8 years later.

You haven't been reading closely, because you missed key points about
the timing of the smells.

Opening Post is nonsense, not Physics

Steel wins in a contest of aluminum vs. steel, at the supposed velocity of the plane and the actual thickness of the metals involved.

An aluminum plane might be able to puncture through a paper thin sheet of steel and keep on trucking, but the exterior steel beams of the WTC were much thicker than that.

The topic of this thread is the energy required for mass to enter the WTC.

An aircraft above 200 mph will enter the WTC shell. It is physics.

The topic is not smell, or an idiotic claim of foam steel.

So now you are a pathologist? I suppose that the other work means that you are a mortician too.

She's claimed to have been around many fires and demolitions too.

She'll be telling us she's a pilot next.

Do YOU remember the audio from the fire fighter on the 78th floor, calling out two small pockets of fire?

Chief Orio Palmer's transmission:

"We've got two ISOLATED pockets of fire."

He also said:

"We're gonna need TWO ENGINES up here."

That's a decent amount of manpower for two "small" pockets of fire.

OMG... is she really THAT thick?
Mmm I like dem thick broads - thick skulled not so much.

He also reported numerous dead bodies on that floor. Small fires did that? 78th floor was a sky lobby if I recall correctly, a large open floor with not much to burn or sustain a fire compared to other floors full of office furnature. It was the lowest point of impact so there was initially a very large fire causing those casualties which redeuced to the sizable fires witnessed by Palmer

Yes, but the 78th floor of WTC2 was at the very bottom of the impact zone and from those transmissions it seems he was in a stairwell and couldn't report on conditions he could not see.

Nice cherry picking, your ladder gets a lot of use.

ETA: Actually I think he made it to the sky lobby, he described dead people you do know that right?

. Yes. That would be 2 small pockets on the 78th floor. If they had the chance to advance higher in the building before it collapsed there would have been reports of several floors of fires. You have to remember it is a dynamic situation and the firefighters report as they see things. They didn't sweep the entire area and make a final report. They simply reported the areas involved as they found them.

This is one of the most hilarious of the CT memes. We get one crew that manages to get up to the lowest fire involved floor or either tower where he reports, a few minutes before collapse, that this level (did I mention its the lowest fire floor) has a few fires (and btw lots of dead and injured people.) that can be suppressed with a few water lines(which he doesn't have and won't get)

He only mentioned dead people (10-45 code ones). I would use the word "sad" and/or "enraging" over hilarious, but that's just me.

Ok, sad, enraging, or the less emotional, blatant sophistry, would be better than finding hilarity in the idea of there being dead people involved.

Its a notion that simply makes me shake my head in disbelief that anyone could twist those words into the idea that there were only small fires in the towers.

Could we not expect, even though he does not specify it, that in addition to those who died, there would be those who were injured and unable to leave under their own power due to those injuries?

Yes, the plane should have crushed itself against the Box column barrier doing some local damage to the building and then fallen away.

How about this broken bicycle part? The 19mm diameter steel spindle failed not the riders foot or leg, not the aluminium cranks nor the aluminium pedals.

Do you the the rider should have a broken leg? or perhaps that the aluminium cranks should have sheared first?

They most likely had hoses, It is standard practice to take them in . I seriously doubt though that they would have been able to use them since the standpipes were most likely damaged and there wouldnt be much if any water pressure.
