Continuation: Discussion of the George Zimmerman case

Seriously? You don't think it's been established that Trayvon Martin was there as a guest and not a burglar?

The following conditions are not logically inconsistent:

1) Staying in the neighborhood
2) Robbing the neighborhood

Now, I don't think he was one of the burglars who'd been targeting the neighborhood. Because he wasn't from that vicinity... far more likely that his pile of stolen jewelry had come from homes nearer his other residence. Of course, he probably was looking to replace the confiscated pile of jewelry with another pile... so he might well have been casing houses while walking home that night.

I notice you still won't denounce what was written above. Do you also believe it "hasn't been ruled out" that Trayvon Martin was there as a burglar? If not, perhaps you could jump in there and correct him on this?

I didn't think it was worth denouncing.

No, I don't think he was burglarizing the neighborhood. There is nothing even remotely indicating that he was.

Then you should respond to the two posts above, because they're running with it.

Why, it seems like you already have it covered. ;)

I think you should instead spend some time explaining what you think the state was doing that it took them so long to send a digital image to the defense under their discovery obligations ? Or do you just want to complain about how long it took the defense to schedule a deposition ?

You can address me directly, you know.

"They're running with it" lol.

I'm right here.

What's with the desperate need for validation from him?

Again, if what I'm saying is so patently absurd, it should be rather easy to demonstrate why. Without any "pearl clutching" or the use of a "fainting couch." in the parlance of these boards.

Speaking of how things work on these boards, it's standard practice to support one's arguments with evidence, and not demand others disprove them.

There is zero evidence that Martin was burglarizing, had ever burglarized, or was planning to burglarize his father's neighborhood.

What the evidence shows is that on the night he was killed, he was walking home from the store.

The ball is in your court.

No, just an incredibly, incredibly stupid to allege there's a correlation between absent any other evidence.

Oh, agreed. Without some 'evidence' like "being in possession of a pile of stolen jewelry and a burglary tool" then it would be wildly inappropriate to imply that someone might have been a burglar.

I'm curious about something: Are you guys familiar with the segment in the NEN call where it appears that Trayvon can be heard in the background of the call, very briefly, presumably attempting to say something to GZ? What are your thoughts on that?

Oh I see what you did there. That wasn't disingenuous at all.

By that same token, I going with a new theory that Zimmerman tried to rape Martin.

I mean, we certainly can't rule it out, can we?

I consider the school police report with jewelry that couldn't be matched to Miami reports and a screwdriver the officer felt was a "burglary tool" plus Trayvon's reaction to being monitored to all be consistent with the idea.

Strong evidence? Not at all. Sufficient to float the idea? In my estimation, yes.

Would it help explain GZ's assertion that TM was "acting suspicious" (a phrase the officer at the school used too) and explain his reaction to having an eye kept on him (running, felony assault)? I think so.

Ahem:

"No evidence ever surfaced that the jewelry was stolen."

From the reports.

So now, TM was a possible burglar.

Wow. The Zimmerman Fanboys are really outdoing themselves.

You appear to be looking for any way to dismiss opinions you don't agree with, whether it be by stamping "gun owner" on someone's forehead, or "Zimmerman fanboy" - I'm neither.

Correct me if I'm wrong on your motives for asking me about gun ownership, still hoping for a reply on that.

Just to clarity, it was his fathers fiance girlfriend former girlfriends neighborhood.

So far Elypsis44 M.O. is that of a drive by poster. Questions are asked, not answered.

Sound reasoning. And it's not at all undercut by you assuming as fact unsubstantiated claims made by Zimmerman.

By that same token, I think Zimmerman tried to rape Martin.

I consider the allegations his cousin has made to be consistent with the idea.

Would it help explain why Zimmerman was sitting in his car watching a young boy and explain why Martin felt it necessary to punch him? I think so.

Ha that was pretty funny, I must admit. Well played.

I obviously don't agree that the comparison is apt, but it was amusing.
