question about homeopathic pills

We medicate the pellets by adding a solution of the homeopathic medicine in alcohol to the container of pellets and shaking the container to distribute the alcohol uniformly over the pellets. The medicating solution is allowed to penetrate the pellets for a minimum of five minutes.

Also:

grafting -- method of making medicated pellets by placing non-medicated pellets in contact with medicated ones. Also done with liquid potencies.

Uh-huh, makes sense. Like when you put peeled garlic next to the milk in the fridge, and the next day the milk tastes of garlic.

Medicines are so expensive now, it's worth trying it with what's in the bathroom cabinet. For example, putting ibuprofen next to jelly babies for 10 mins should make sweets that give you dental caries while providing pain relief for it...

Why hasn't the pharmaceuticals industry cottoned on to this? it would save them a fortune.

You read it here first!

I'm curious about the process a homeopathic pill maker uses to go from water to sugar pill--anyone know?

They sprinkle the sugar with the homeopathic solution.

Hey... does that mean you've now imbued your ibuprofen with the taste of jelly babies?

Meh. Grafting is no more ridiculous than the rest of homeopathy. Then again, neither are faeries.

You see, water has a memory, and the sugar pill is like the flash drive. It's all very technical

Interesting. Just how close to the fully-charged, homeo-rich pills do the blank ones have to be for the grafting to take place?

Line of sight.

Think cellphone towers.

Then logically, blanks should be infested with EVERY homeopathic remedy within line of sight. So ONE pill, infected thusly, would cure everything you could ever suffer from.

That is a powerful medicine indeed.

Powerful doesn't even begin to describe the net margin greatness of this much maligned cure for all.

I love Grafting, it's like after water memory and evaporated water memory on sugar a group of homeopaths got together to see if they could completely abandon any possible link to even a pseudoscientific healing mechanism and still flog their BS to the marks.... Apparently though they can.:(

It's always a good one when talking to a proponent though, they either have to show their own ignorance of the technique, evade or admit to something that 'almost' any third party will see as a con if the ground hasn't been sufficiently prepared.

What.
I knew about the ridiculous concentrations, and that they would drop that water on sugar pills. But not about 'grafting'. Good lord.

Yeah, it's a good one. The part that really amuses me is how completely it destroys most of the arguments in favour of homeopathy.

"Homeopathy works because water can remember substances that were previously dissolved in it."
"So how do you make large numbers of pills?"
"We put two sugar cubes next to each other."
"Um, wet sugar cubes?"
"No, but we did spray some alcohol on one of them first."
"OK... and what was in the alcohol?"
"Moonbeams*."
"Diluted moonbeams?"
"Yes."

* No, really.

It reminds me of distance 'initiations' in Reiki.
